We the influx at WR right now I don't think Diggs would be a pick for us. The rest I would like also along with either RB David Cobb or Jeremy Langford.

Said I wanted him didn't say he would be a good pick.

He said he would not sign with any team if he is not taken by the 2nd round. He will just got back to school and try again next year.

Huh? That makes ZERO sense. Usually when you want someone you expect him to be productive and help your team win. Who wants a player and hopes he stinks? I want all the Jets picks to help the Jets succeed. We could use some luck and great drafting.

I'm just going to list the guys I'm interested in for day 3 and list them pretty much in order of preference, but not exactly since a lot of these guys grade out so evenly that need figures in to the picture as well. I will list my 'dream' last 3 rounds though. But it's far from perfect, and I'd be good with any of the following players.

Ifo Ekpre-Olomu, CB, Oregon, 5'9-192 (I see him as a slot corner or free safety but before he hurt himself he was in consideration for late 1st early 2nd)
    Cody Prewitt, FS, Mississippi, 6'2-208
    TJ Clemmings, OT, Pittsburgh, 6'5-309.
Josue Matias, OG, Florida State, 6'5, 309
Tre Jackson, OG, Florida State, 6'4-330
    Arie Kouandjio, OG, Alabama, 6'5-310
Jesse James, TE, Penn State, 6'7-261
    Ramik Wilson, ILB, Georgia, 6'2-237
    Za'Darius Smith, OLB/DE, Kentucky, 6'4 274
    Zach Hodges, OLB, Harvard, 6'2-250
Jay Ajayi, RB, Boise St, 6'0 221
    Corey Grant, RB, Auburn, 5'11-205
    Austin Hill, WR, Arizona, 6'3-212
    Dres Anderson, WR, Utah, 6'1-187
    Stefon Diggs, WR, Maryland, 6'0-195
Antwon Goodley, WR, Baylor, 5'10 209.
Mycole Pruitt, TE Southern Illinois' 6'2-251
    Daryl Williams, OT/OG, Oklahoma, 6-5-327
Corey Robinson, OT/OG, South Carolina, 6'7-324
Jarvis harrison, OG, Texas A&M, 6'4-330
Jamil Douglas, OG, Arizona State, 6'4-304
    Kysheon Jarrett SS, Virginia Tech
Cam Thomas, CB, Western Kentucky 6'1-190
    Jawlston Fowler, FB, Alabama, 5'11-254
    Gerod Holliman, FS Louisville, 6'0-218
Quinton Spain, OG, West Virginia, 6'4-332
conner Halliday, QB, Washington State, 6'3-196.

now a disclaimer, even if Corey Grant were available in the 5th and was my top rated player I'd probably pass on him till the 7th, I have him ranked higher than most places because I REALLY like the kid and I would be perfectly fine if he were the only RB the Jets took in the draft.

If I had my Dream 3rd day it would probably look like.

4th- Ifo Ekpre-Olomu OR Cody Prewitt.
5th-Josue Matias (he's been dropping on a lot of boards)
    7A- Corey Grant
7B- Kysheon Jarrett or Cam Thomas
    7C- Conner Halliday.

Zero sense? I think he's an awesome player and would be an awesome pick for whoever takes him. He would not be a good pick for the Jets. Not hard to understand really.

Ajayi next? Seems like he'd be a tremendous value pick in round 4.

Need a RB with some upside who can also do some damage in passing game. Right now Powell is the only guy who can be counted on to catch a pass coming out of backfield.

Nice to see someone value a punter here. With that extra 7th take the best punter when possible

Who is still available(Before I research). I think we should

Would be very pleased with TJ Clemming's. He's a NJ kid.

His knee problem has scared most teams away. Not sure if we should take a shot with him in the 4th or not. Duke Johnson would have been ideal.

Belichick took a kicker (Gostkowski) in round 4 and the guy was a steal there. The guy is capable of delivering wins-above-replacement (to borrow a baseball stat) every year and makes every clutch kick.

So many games come down to a FG.

Ray Guy was a first round pick.

Everybody remembers the picked up flag for PI, but That 10-yard punt in the Dallas-Detroit game was also a huge play.

If there is a stud punter or kicker available and the value is there I am all in favor of pulling the trigger.

It's only foolish if it doesn't work out.

Obviously you prioritize QB over kicker or punter. But I think the guy specifically mentioned round 7 as the potential target area.

Would you rather have Tajh Boyd or a better punter?

Round 7 QBs like McElroy are a complete throwaway.

You do if it makes sense. Obviously you have to get the player evaluation part of it right. But you could say that about any position, especially QB.

I could name 10 QB busts who have been taken in the 1st round without blinking an eye.

Besides, the guy said 7th round, not 2nd (Nugent).

You don't think Gostkowski is worth a 4th rounder?

In Jet land, that is the equivalent of Bilal Powell or Jalen Saunders.

Ok, sorry. I was reading too fast and the portion of the post you quoted was cut off.

So it's clear to me I replied to something you weren't actually trying to say, but it's not clear to me what you were actually trying to say.
