Should make a great WR3. Marshall and Decker will draw off anyone who can cover him well. Great to have that deep threat who can actually run routes and catch a ball.
Although I'm reading some pretty good things about D.Smith, this pick is still eerily reminiscent of the Stephen Hill pick in the 2nd round a few years back. speed guy, not many catches in college, focus drops .... ugh. scary stuff.
You don't know shit about Smith if you think this. In that case, I think you should stop commenting about it because you are making yourself look like a fool.
Just about everything they are saying about Smith was said about Wesley Walker--Deep threat only, 1 trick pony, etc. Walker was a second-round pick also as I recall. If he becomes half the player Wesley was, I'm happy. What team did Wesley Walker score the most TDs against? You guessed it--Miami.
Do any of you watch college? You know Ohio State won the National title? Vs. Wisconsin in Big 10 title game had 3 TD's. He's very good.
His college team was good, so that makes him a good NFL prospect??? What corners were trying to cover him in those games, nothing like the corners he will face in the NFL.
Roger please provide requisite information for having a take and explain why you're so asshurt about this selection.
ok roger, we see you have posted 3 or 4 times.... all quick negative posts. do you care to back up the reason you are so annoyed?
Speaking purely from a talent perspective as a WR, imo no, he's not a better prospect than DGB. That said, DGB has the off field issues, and supposedly isn't very bright in terms of learning an offense, and his route running skills aren't very good. Smith is more of a #3 or #4 WR who is a deep threat. I never thought Mac would take DGB.
