Rookie wage scale makes this unlikely. The team who trades for him would have to pay the big contract accompanied with a number 2 pick.
no idea why, drive up the price to others or scare them off. or it could just be espn getting the headline wrong like they usually do as i see in this link that tennessee's gm says he has had substantial talks with a couple teams in a group that includes the jets. http://espn.go.com/nfl/draft2015/st...ng-no-2-pick-3-4-teams-gm-ruston-webster-says
clearly you didn't read what i said in the post you quoted. here, try again. or it could just be espn getting the headline wrong like they usually do as i see in this link that tennessee's gm says he has had substantial talks with a couple teams in a group that includes the jets.
the alert that came through on my phone said this Jets: official says Jets have had substantial talks with Titans for #2 pick. The quote is true however it appears to say the the jets official made the statement instead of tennessee's..of course isn't that the inetent of everything espn does?
"official says Jets have had substantial talks with Titans for #2 pick." it doesn't say Jets official, it says "official says Jets"
ohoh..sanchez is tweeting jets pictures Mark Sanchez @Mark_Sanchez 6m6 minutes ago ... And be ready for a wild ride in the NFL! #tbt
Wish things could have worked out w/ Mark - I had faith in him at one point ... man do I miss those times. If only the FO had their priorities straight after losing to the Steelers
