Roger Goodell made $150.4 million in salary over his first eight seasons as commissioner of the NFL. The NFL has given up its tax exempt status, which means they will no longer have to disclose Goodell's annual salary among other things. The NFL had received criticism for being tax exempt.
And this is the more realistic number, 44M a year. Goodell's compensation (salary and bonuses) skyrocketed in the two years since the 2011 NFL lockout, reaching $44.2 million during the fiscal year ending in 2013, an increase of nearly 300% from his first full year as commissioner (2008). Meanwhile, NFL revenue has increased 31.6% over the same period.Sep 25, 2014
and this...wonder why he nver does shit to those scumbags? Roger Goodell has at least 300 hundred million reasons to go easy on Robert Kraft’s team. Kraft’s role in inflating the NFL commissioner’s huge salary is just one feature of their mutually beneficial friendship, according to a new article in GQ Magazine detailing Goodell’s close relationship with the owner of the Patriots. http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/f...-goodell-300m-salary-report-article-1.2092554
Goodell like a lot of big execs makes money based on how much he brings in. So when the NFL revenue dramatically rises (after he took over) he gets compensated. He won't stop kissing Kraft's ass for that very reason. He's been trying to mend fences with Kraft after that pompous ass and his team embarrassed themselves and the league and Roger let him hang dry for a short period of time. Kraft expected him to automatically defend him and when he didn't you saw what happened. Kraft tips big and is not used to being challenged.
