Since this is the hot stove league of football let me throw one out at you. OK Tanny was recently hired as GM of the Fins. He has a relationship with the Miami owner, Steve Ross. Also Eric Mangini has a relationship with Ross and if I'm not mistaken was once a Consultant to Ross and Miami. Well, Tannenbaum took on a head coach not of his choosing with Philbin a guy who might be in the last year of his tenure there unless he makes the playoffs. Esp after the Dolphins have spent a lot of money in recent years most recently on Suh, etc. As for Mangini he is currently working his way back up the NFL coaching ladder. After spending last year as TE coach with the 49ers he is currently their DC. Which puts him back in contention to be a HC again some day. Tannenbaum claims that he fired Eric after 2008. But almost no one believed that. It was Woody. He was friends and a fellow Belichick Cleveland Browns disciple with Mangini and they got along and worked well together. And were both on board when the Jets got rid of Chad and got Favre. So what I'm saying is that: Ross and Tannenbaum both like Mangini. Philbin might be on the way out. And Eric is available. I could see a reunion in Miami in 2016 unless the Fins play well in '15.

whoa - my mind is blown from that block o shit text

Brett Favre is available too. He's been working out on his ranch. Tannehill throws like a teenage girl. Its obvious the Dolfags are looking to have a Tangini/Favre reunion.. they are setting it up

Vernon Gholston is also looking for work. Since they drafted him before they'd obviously still be interested. IDK about Miami's pass rush right now but its possible they could use a waste of space like Gholston next to Suh

Its possible we could have Tangini/Favre in Miami, Belichick/Teblow in NE and Rex/Sanchez in Buffalo all by 2016. You have to figure Bradway/Herman would find work somewhere too

Look this is just a hot stove league item I tossed out. No facts but just a supposition. You don't have to pay any attention to it. Two former Jets recently in the news. Just something to maybe chew the fat on. Not meant to be controversial.

A couple of paragraph, at least, would help with bothering with it

I knew of a high school football coach who for twenty years tried to get an NFL internship. He said if you had any work credit in NFL your job prospects doubled. Mangini sure has the credits.

I think you could be on to something, this has been discussed in the past(when he was hired) though. I still think Mangini can be a good HC in this league once he knocks off the BB imitation and learns how to deal w/ players. that could work out well for Miami or they could make the playoffs and Philbin gets an extension.

Philbin could be a goner if the Fins don't make the playoffs again. Esp after spending all of that money. I don't think that Tanny wanted to fire Eric. He was forced out by Woody who didn't like him. I can see a reunion if things work right in terms of the SF defense playing well even though they are missing key players like Willis, etc. But it's pure speculation. But the bottom line is that the owner likes Mangini.

I never really thought Mangenious was a bad coach but he, as stated above, needs to change his attitude .

    I could see it happening.

I don't think Mangini was a horrible coach and I thought he got a bus deal in Cleveland because the Browns actually started playing well at the end of his tenure but he's kind of a douche so he's not really likable. I think with that smug personality unless you win quickly you wear out your welcome.

Manginis head coaching carrer is over.He might get another shot one day but I seriously doubt it.Bill Belichek has never produced a single good head coach under his tree which is amazing to me
