Since you believe quarterbacks in the NFL are superfluous, I understand your theroy. But considering a QB is worth 10 players, you're theory fails. _
Why? I understood it quite well. Are U a English professor to question another person's usage? Question the response not the posters usage of the English language. His response was to Roos post not yours.
no doubt I would take that but my guess is he will offer Bradford and his second and I walk away. There is still the problem with how do we pay him? Bradford makes 13M this year and we don't have anywhere near that.
10 is an exaggeration. But if MM is on the board at 6 I'd have no problem selecting him. And then you wait three years and find out he's another RG3 or maybe if lucky a Tannehill. I won't complain if we select him but if we get a good deal from Philly I won't kick and scream either (like I know you will) if we trade back and get some good players. One thing I'd never do: trade up to get him. It's only the fools who trade up in the early first round. It's been proven time and again.
Awful comparisons. I've seen these comparisons get flown out a lot, along with Alex Smith. I wouldn't spend a 6th overall pick on that investment. Tannehill to me isn't all that great. I would hope Mariota could be a Steve Young type QB, but I highly doubt that.
I like the guy even though we have a good NT but again he's going to have to be re-signed. And I'm sure they'd find a place to use him. IMO he's going to end up being one of the better picks in this year's draft.
And your comments really just make me wonder about your intelligence. You like this thread are really pointless. If a chance for a franchise qb is there in your grasp you take you don't trade the pick you are probably a Geno supporter. Geno sucks and his fans really hate when people point that out.
Be great, we trade away our franchise QB and Bradford snaps another ACL in preseason. All the while collecting $13 million and screwing up our cap for 5 years because we signed him to an extension to lower his cap number. That would be epic. _
Hasn't Harrison already re-signed? I don't dispute that Shelton is a great prospect and likely to be a very good player in the NFL. If at the Jets' pick in the 2nd round he's still there and they think he is the BAP and no one's even close, then they should take him. I just don't understand wanting him when the Jets have other big positions of need, and BAP and need are likely to line up at both WR and OLB, and hopefully at QB as well.
