The article is agenda driven. IMO it's meant to dispel common thought that all Mariota does is throw screens. My agenda for posting the where did they throw exceprt was disprove following post: Based on those numbers, he is somewhat of a "screen specialist".
He was a good college player and has an upside. But he could be a project like Geno and one is enough. I wouldn't draft a Qb this year unless it's Mariota. If Geno doesn't improve then I'd get rid of him and draft someone significant in 2016.
i wouldnt touch him. I think Petty is a much better player. im not looking at hundley unless he slides to the 6th or 7th round. im not taking a QB outside of round 1 unless he is arguably the BPA at that pick.
His tape showed me a lot more than that. Nagle can see it too. So I will bump it because I am saying he is the best QB in this class when most of this board is thinking nonsense like this:
Like I said he may end up being the best from this class but saying he is the best right now is just as nonsensical IMO.
The same reason why you think others saying guys like Petty, Mannion and Grayson being better is nonsence. Oh OK?
I don't see how its nonsense? It's an opinion, just like your opinion on Hundley. Only difference is if I'm right I won't be bumping this to prove you wrong. I doubt you can say the same.
.... because Hundley is a far superior prospect who will be a starting quarterback in the NFL while those other guys will be career backups at best.... nah that reason doesn't really work for your argument, sorry.
Hundley will go before Mannion and Grayson. Hundley will go in the 4th or before. I just like Mannion and Grayson's value better later in the draft. If they are all available later in the draft Hundley should be picked first. I just don't want him before the 4th.
Mannion was almost terrible without Cooks, Grayson was only good vs inferior teams, and Petty is a system QB. I think none of them will be starting QBs for any prolonged length of time in the NFL.
You seem to be putting a lot of faith in a QB that is borderline awful in the pocket. Pocket presence is curcial in the NFL and its also one of the hardest things to teach, along with reading defenses and coverages. Both of which Hundley is weakest at.
Interesting discussions in regards to Hundley, surprised people actually like him. I would def take him over Mannion, Grayson and Petty - I think nothing of those guys. Hundley does hold onto the ball far too long, but then again - Russel Wilson held the football longer then anyone in the NFL last season. I just don't like the fact that he's been in an offense where everything prior to the snap was almost pre-determined. I don't think he's all that accurate.
Yet somehow he's better at both those things than Winston or Mariota who are being touted as top 5 picks.
I forgot, you have your own scouting department. To say Hundley is better than Mariota or Winston in any catergory is asinine.
