Is it just me or does anyone else hope that in his 50's he is out jogging and is attacked by a rabid:
First of all i don't know of any player in the NFL who is not getting paid to play, so accusing someone in the NFL of being a mercenary is, to paraphrase Apocalypse Now, like handing out speeding tickets at the Indy 500. OF COURSE Vick was playing for money. In other breaking news the sun rose this morning. As for having a bad attitude or whatever, it's pretty clear Idzik lied to VIck about having a chance to be the starter. His signing was merely to pretend the Jets were not all in on Smith in his second year. Should Vick have nonetheless been prepared when he eventually got hte chance to play? Yes, without question. But human nature being what it is, it is not hard to understand how he might have been less than enthused about being with this organization.
To be fair. He went to the only training camp he was invited to. I'm sure he would have turned down the Pats if one of the 10-15 teams actually looking for a starter had called.
