I'm thinking the Jets will open the 2nd half of MNF at Oakland........just a gut feeling. NBC will probably select the Steelers for the Pats opener. That being said one of the Jets Pats games will go national at some point......
Yes and yes. But if we get schooled I wish we never got the early match up. Sent from my LG-LS720 using Tapatalk
My guess I think we open on the road at Miami. I also think it will be Steelers-Pats for the season opener. I bet we get the Bills either on a Thursday or Monday night at Metlife as a primetime game because of the Rex factor.
Not like theyre any good tho. I think pats jets has a better appeal now. Especially with all the strory lines.
PIT @ NE sounds like a lock for the Thursday Night opener. I could easily see NYJ@NYG to open the season.
We will have all season to hear about douchebag Rex, no need to jump on it in week #1. The media's love coverage for this one isn't going to go anywhere.
It's going to be Pats-Jets opening night... prior to last week I would have said Pittsburgh too, but that was almost like a "default" choice. At this point I'd be really surprised if it's anything else but NE/NY.
No way it's Pats/Jets opening night. They'll match them against a playoff team. Pats/Colts seems logical.
is opening at home. Here are the choices: Jets- #1 rival, Revis going back to Foxboro Bills- really strong team on paper plus Rex but they are still the Bills Dolphins- Suh makes them interesting but they are still pretty boring Eagles- I don't think so w/ the recent moves(which may have made them better but less attractive for marquee games) Jaguars- no chance Redskins- no chance Steelers- Possible but Titans- no chance I would rank them in this order 1. NYJ 2. Buf 3. Pitt 4. Phil 5. Mia 6. Was 7. Ten 8. Jax
Ravens did, although it was due to conflict with Orioles playoff game. I still say AFCCG rematch, with the added allure of Deflategate, would be the most interesting. Rex more of a #1 rival recently, along with the Bills being division runner up. Any divisional match-up is not going to be as interesting to a national market however.
they don't play Indy at home. the Pats don't share a stadium w/ the Sox so there's no chance of conflict. ratings will be through the roof no matter who is playing. it's about storylines, Buf has Rex and we have rivalry and Revis.
I didn't say they play Indy at home, nor did I say they share a stadium with the Sox. I said it would be the most interesting match-up based on AFCCG re-match, and Deflategate. Colts/Ravens/Steelers/Broncos biggest rivals at this point. Jets have been the biggest Divisional rival however, regardless of where they finish. Rex bigger rivalry than Revis at this point. When it's all said and done, Revis will be at Kraft's house this Summer for the ring party making all happy face. Some W's would change that.
