as long as we lose 5 less picks then the Patriots do for their latest cheating scandal then all will be fine.
I did but this thread is all over the place.. I understand that the negotiations were monitered but there are different levels to this thing. With woodys comment and the leaked details of the contract on monday. I hope we didnt start talking to him during the legal tampering period because he was not a free agent. Woodys comment alone is total bs but if they link it to another violation i am worried. I am not suggesting that we did any of these things.. Let me reiterate i hope we did not. As far as being a cheatriots fan fuck off
Axel, good clarification. If it comes about to be more than a fine it will send the clear message that the Comish is bought and paid by Kraft the Cheat
Especially since they chose to cut Revis. Had the Pats honored his contract there would be no negotiation in the first place. What a joke, "We chose to let this guy walk now punish the team that picked him up because they outbid us."
the whole tampering rule seems pointless to me - what does it actually achieve? when does a team ever lose a player that it both wants to keep and most importantly can afford to keep?
I don't remember hearing any contract details unti tuesday All I remember hearing was it was between pats and Jets for Revis which everyone knew anyway
I agree. It's absolutely a stupid rule. So is the rule against recording hand signals 80,000 people can see. That being said, I wish this whole tampering thing would go away. I'm sick of the whole "gotcha" mentality that seems to be everywhere in the NFL now. Breaking a rule is wrong, but snitching really isn't much better.
Yet the Patriots will get off Scot free because Kraft has Roger in his pocket and he threw a temper tantrum in Arizona.
There hasn't been a "lack of any punishment"; the case and the investigation are still open and ongoing. Even the judicial program in the NFL requires a finding before a sentencing.
open and ongoing my ass. unless they opened a texas sized can of worms they're doing nothing but letting the dust settle at this point.
The NFL enlisted a group of lawyers to investigate the Deflategate and as we know lawyers love to fleece anyone and everyone with hourly rates. They'll probably stretch the investigation into years Hopefully the cost of the investigation gets Goodell fired
If we talked to Revis' shitbag agents before he technically became a FA and we lose a draft pick over it, that stupidity is going to tarnish some of the goodwill Mac and his team have built up in the past week.
Well. I don't care about him fining Johnson, but if he pulls a draft pick hell be losing a valuable ally in Woody. And alienating even more fans. Goddell won't have a job next year.
- everyone tampers in the league - (insert football team from 1980s) tampered and they are worshiped! But we get vilified? -it's the media, ESPN hates us -check this out this article from Florham Park Weekly, they say it's not a big deal at all, why would they lie? -it's science, sometimes when you speak in a room at 70 degrees it doesn't sink in until you go outside into 40 degree weather and then people think you are tampering when you did not intend too! Am I doing this right patriot fans??????
Ha I was thinking the same thing today listening to some mouth on the radio that was talking about how everyone has tampered in the NFL since the beginning of time including the Patriots, but I wouldn't and won't be like a dbag Pats fan if the Jets are found to have tampered, and I won't say that everybody does it, but then again I don't have recent Lombardi trophies to make my dick feel bigger that I feel the need to protect so whatever
Everybody does it is an lame excuse. We were on notice after Woody's stupid comments. We knew the Pats and the league were hyper sensitive about us tampering with Revis. If we didn't follow the rules, we deserve to get smacked and have no one to blame but our own stupidity.
