That looks like it for now. Maybe Brent Qvale and Ben Ijalana at T also? I'm hoping Dozier can amount to something. We need another lineman
lol lazy guard play? cmon... did you really watch? his play is anything but lazy. the penalties are a liability, i agree with that. that's always been a part of his game. he plays physical and relies on his hands maybe too much. the false starts can be worked on. he's gotta improve on that. i also wouldn't expect too much pulling either. not the fleetest of foot. it's a depth and competition move for a low cost high character vet. i would've preferred a little more splash on this Oline, but this is how the cards fell, so it makes sense.
we need an OT in the worst way.. Breno shouldn't even be starting, we have no reliable backup, and it's possible both our current T's won't be on the team next year.
The Oline really hasn't had any major additions since acquisition of Faneca in '08. Slowly, slowly we have watched the line decline from one of the best in the league. 2009 offensive line Brick-Faneca-Mangold-Moore-Woody By 2010 Woody was gone replaced by Wayne Hunter By 2010 Faneca was gone replaced by slauson By 2011 Howard eventually takes over for Hunter 2012 Offensive line Brick-Slauson-Mangold-Moore-Howard By 2013 Colon replaces Slauson By 2013 Winters replaces Moore By 2014 Giacomnini replaces Howard 2014 offensive line Brick-Colon-Mangold-Winters- Giacomini All the while we have had Ducasse as a starter schuladeraff, and probably some other fill-ins. The line has been ignored and free from talented additions until now with the acquisition of Carpenter. Brick is now on the decline and has become a liability on the quarterbacks blind side. Geno is bad, but I doubt many quarterbacks survive behind the "mishmosh" "protection" over the last 5 years.
If Geno knew when to release the ball the line would look great..don't blame Geno's total lack of skill on the line.
on another not.. Rich Cimini @RichCimini 8m8 minutes ago Free-agent long snapper Tanner Purdum stays with the Jets, signs a two-year deal, per his agent. #nyj we still need a FB too..the available money is dwindling.
Well you are not the only one in that boat. I hardly call a non-guaranteed vet minimum salary a "double down" before we have finished FA, the draft, cuts, camp and pre-season.
Lol in another post there a furious argument going on about idzik.. I'm not in on that I'm just reading it and laughing.. The contention is Mac should be thankful idzik did such a bad job he has money to spend and idzik should be given credit.. Lol I can't get enough f any idzik defenders.. They crack me up
Plus he always the first guy there to have his teammates backs. Your right all people look at are penalties.
i think we can use the vet min salary cap benefit rule for this contract. which counts him as 585k against the cap. a very good deal for the jets if the three young guards dont pan out.

Signing all these Cb's has made this a very rough couple days for Brad. I hope he can bounce back. but it might take a bit of time.
