I'm not worried about the jets or what you post. I'm pointing out that if your gonna list every big name free agent and be upset and panicked the jets didn't sign them.. Gonna be a horrible off season for you. I'm happy with what there doing, you aren't. That's all.

resigning powell does not mean they won't go after Spiller. I'd like both players on the roster

It's not my intentions, I want what's best for this franchise and you cannot sit there and tell me recently or even longer that, that has been done for us. We are notably a very poorly run franchise mainly in part because Woody Johnson doesnt know a single thing about running a football team. It's frustrating to see to have to sit through year after year especially with what he just went through.

Yeah well show me Powell highlights from any year (your choice) that can compare to that kind of playmaking ability.

To suggest Powell is in the same class as CJ Spiller is either blind homer-ism or just plain blindness. It is a joke.

I don't agree with that in any way. He found success with the Patriots because of the scheme they were using. Otherwise, from a pure talent perspective, Powell is better in every way in my eyes.

I'm not saying Powell is in the same class but I am saying that you don't overspend on a RB who has been historically a huge injury risk and hasn't exactly lit the stat sheets on for no matter how many highlight clips you want to post. He was a first round draft pick and has the type of production over his career that you would expect from a 4th round pick in a decent RB draft.

For those that have forgot, some Powell highlights. Notice all those times where he runs up the gut for 8-9 yards.

Powell can be better utilized and will produce more than he has been. Plus he's excellent at helping protect the QB. I think we're keeping Harvin, so we don't need Spiller. Powell fills a different set of skills needed on the team. I'm happy we kept him. He can be used in ways that will better highlight his abilities than the ways Rex and MM had him working.

Calm down crazy. Lol so if you weren't listing them as jet targets, what's the crying about? I'm not looking to argue with you. Imdo confused.. So since those aren't targets, what targets do you want the jets to get?

I've gotten to the point like 3 times in this thread, the Jets don't need to be bidding against other teams for an overrated player like Spiller when this draft has much better talent at a younger age and with far less of an injury concern.

Yeah guess what, Powell isn't Spiller, he's not meant to be, he's a compliment back that can pass block and run well inside and outside but isn't a game breaker. A 3 back system is dependent on a player like Powell

He is not as talented or as quick. But he is a good player all the same. I dont want Spiller if the plan is to draft a RB this year. Ivory/Powell can be the duo until the Rookie to be named learns pass protection.

......because you said free agency started at 4pm but those players already had new teams? Did you forget your own post?

I personally think Spiller is a special player with the ability to be one of the best RB's in the league. I don't get people so concerned about how much money the Jets are going to spend when they have 6434921432743294187329 in cap space this year. The money isn't coming out of your pocket and we have to spend it by league rule. We should spend it on good football players.

Drafting a player is nice, and sometimes that works out but as a Jets fan it doesn't seem like we draft players with Spillers talent level very often if at all. Hopefully the new regime stops drafting the Stephen Hill's of the world.

I just don't see your point in comparing regimes.

Lol that's not the point of your post... Go re read your own stuff.. Free agency doesn't start until 4 pm.. You can have informal deals in place nothng final.. So your complaint about all the jets aren't doing to get players who have made principal deals. Then saying it doesn't matter you didn't want them anyway. Is not what were discusing? I ask again.. What's the crying about and who do you want the jets to sign?
