    Much ado about nothing.

When more than half of the teams are involved it is hard to say that they are doing something wrong.

The NFL made this rule change and it is clear that they are now dealing with the unintended consequences of that decision.

The funny thing is we're likely to give out the biggest contract to a free agent this off-season (Suh not withstanding), and people will still complain we weren't aggressive enough in free agency.

    Madden syndrome I suppose.

what is there to be worried about?

I haven't been worried about anything since Ben Roethlisberger ripped my heart out and took a shit on it 4 years ago.

Why don't you go tell me how the past free agency "winners" have done in the past decade, and get back to me.

EDIT: Which is really irrelevant to my main point, which is to calm the fuck down and actually wait and see what happens as free agency unfolds instead of losing your shit before free agency even opens.

You can't win in Free Agency, but if your teams sucks balls and you have major needs to fill that you can't all fill in the Draft, it might be a good idea to sign a couple of good players...especially with 50 millions in cap ready.

Of all the Free Agents who have signed, who is everyone so mad about? Obviously disregarding players who re-signed with their own teams because they were never an option.

Maxwell- Did you guys really want to match that contract the Eagles gave him.

Franklin- I understand frustration, but we did go after him. Can't make someone come here lol.

Iupati- From all reports I've read he wanted to stay west. As hard as Macagnan tries, he can't move NY to the west.

Let the new regime do their jobs. Maybe that or go start a "fire this guy!" billboard campaign.

The rash, beaujolais nouveau-like whining in this thread needs further maturing...

Please everyone that is already freaking out, read jcass' post.

We went hard after Franklin and Iupati. We can't force players to come here. Iupati and Franklin both wanted to stay west. Mac can't relocate our team.

Worry may not be the word but when you are 4-12 and unable to sign any of your targets in FA then you should have some sense of discomfort.

We as a fan base should be worried because we're the goddam Jets, not because of the 2015 offseason.

I think Idzik just had this fan base scarred because of the lack of aggressiveness towards signing marquee players that could come right in and help. We're all just clamoring for splash because we haven't seen any in 2 years. Carpenter isn't exactly a signing that excites me though. He an out of shape injury prone guard that has trouble run blocking. Hopefully he can start to earn his 1st round pedigree with us. But I want to see some difference makers get signed today and tomorrow. Or else 6-10 might be our ceiling this year

Oakland too, they have more money than us and can't get a FA there either. Atleast we may end up with Marshall and Revis
