Would be nice but too expensive. McCourty market is strong and I don't think we can afford a bidding war if we sign revis. Apparently the jets are interested in Chiefs safety Ron Parker

In fact the lack of jets connection to mccourty only further lends to our interest in revis

Draft Gerod Holliman or Denzel Perryman at 20, Gerod Holliman or Perryman immediately in the 2nd and the other 2nd on an offensive linemen

 

Cro is about the same age as Marshall.

On a 3 year deal he is well worth $7-9 mil per year.

Are people forgetting that we have Milliner? Maybe Bowles thinks he can start and the plan is to go Cro/Milliner/Williams/McDougle..

 

If we go into the season with those 4 we are screwed milliner won't last full 16

 

Milliner won't be ready for the season opener and even when he gets back, no one has any idea how long it will take him to get game conditioned and adapted to the new system. He's far from a sure thing right now. The Jets have to operate under the assumption that he's going to provide zero value this year, and anything they do get out of him is a bonus.

 

I'd rather have an issue of too many CBs than go into camp with two broke dicks, a partially unknown in Williams, and one solid guy (Cro). They need at least 2 guys back there in my opinion.

 

What makes you think McCourtney and Cro won't cost $10MM combined? I think McCourtney gets at least $8MM himself. Cro for $2MM?

 

After all these other contracts Cro will get atleast 6 or 7 with McCourty getting closer to 10 because there is a ton of teams competing for him.

 

2 of those can't be relied upon to stay healthy, Cary Williams is atrocious, and who know's what to expect with Cro.

 

The Chargers reportedly have an agreement in place with free agent G Orlando Franklin.

Franklin was a top-13 guard at Pro Football Focus while starting all 16 games on the left side for the Broncos last year. He was our No. 2 guard available, behind only Mike Iupati -- and can also play tackle. At 6'7/320, Franklin could pair with Chargers right guard D.J. Fluker to form an imposing interior duo.
