A lot of speculation right now about an apparent rumor that there's a video to be released this week that has Dez Bryant making very disturbing actions. Some are saying this video is worse than Ray Rice's video (idk how they can say that when nobody has leaked the video but whatever http://seattle.suntimes.com/nfl/7/72/695824/dez-bryant-video-released ). Why is this coming out now around contract time? Could this be another DJAX style situation to a sense? Is Jerry trying to lower Dez's value as an excuse? Jerry must know something because Dez would have been re-signed by now esp. since he is a fan favorite and gets high praise from his team and owner himself. There were other reports recently stating that JERRY JONES said Dez has "quiet" off the field issues that's keeping him from giving Dez a shit load of guaranteed money. Dez feels he deserves this guaranteed money and is growing irritated with the organization and broadcasting it over social media. We all know Dallas isn't exactly swimming in cap space and may have issues keeping all their guys... if you have to let em go then do so..its the NFL shit happens...but don't tarnish this man's name in the process. That selfish, petty, and disrespectful to your "Franchise WR". Same thing happened with DJAX and it really got under my skin. Some may say i'm just drawn into the rumors i should wait and see what happens... but it's a topic that's all over social media right now.. so i thought i'd bring it up.. You guys have any thoughts?
I'll wait till I see the video before passing judgment. There is no criminal investigation ongoing as far as I can find. A couple years ago he beat up his mom or whatever so maybe the video is that bad.

I've been hearing about this since the middle of last week, threatening to release a video and not releasing it, it reminds me of the TV shows where a guy has his hand in his pocket threatening to shoot somebody and the only thing in the pocket is his finger. This is probably some asshole with a badly photoshopped video trying to shake down the tabloids and failing, I'll be surprised if anything comes about.
FWIW, because he's a hack, Cowherd on ESPN has been saying for awhile that there is potentially some very disturbing off the field stuff from Bryant that he knew about. He's a clown though so who knows
Schefter said in an interview he's been working on the story since September and like others have said, the rumor is that it's far worse than the Ray Rice video and it's all caught on a Walmart security camera. Schefter wouldn't say anything if he didn't believe there is a very real truth behind it, but he also made sure people knew he hasn't seen the video yet, himself and didn't offer any of his own opinions on it, only that he's been working on it for a long time.
If I'm Dez Bryant and there was no video, I would have said emphatically there was no such video. The tweet he sent out was weird. Made it seem like he was being extorted by people he once called friends, not that the video doesn't exist. Then again if I was Dez and I knew a video like this existed I would be trying to get a contract done asap with some guaranteed money.
I'm hoping that this damages Schefter's career more than it does Bryant's. Schefter is the biggest weasel on the planet.

Ever since he went to ESPN he has been horrendous. When he burst onto the scene at NFL Network he was great and really did have the inside scoop, possibly because the NFL Network was new and was feeding him stuff. Now he is a weasel like you say and tries to pass off stuff that isn't up to snuff or is someone else's work
Well Dez certainly didn't deny the video..so it may be true. This could really set Dallas back.. He's clearly the outspoken leader in Dallas.
Or you could just say the truth. You don't like what he's been reporting about Deflategate which has been portraying the Patriots in a positive light. It kills you inside. Anything that doesn't fit the narrative you like is now "horrendous". Nice try.
He is not the person I would like leading my franchise. He's a wild card and if you're looking for consistency, you are looking in the wrong place with Dez. Very interested to see how this turns out with the new mob mentality that comes with anything in this new hypersensitive NFL. Not saying that it's a bad thing, but the treatment for these type of situations has really changed in the last few months.
Schefter is such a cornball. He loves to made stupid little comments that I guess are supposed to be funny but show he doesn't know shit about actual football. For example, after the SB he tweeted that Garoppolo now had as many Super Bowl wins as Peyton Manning. How enlightening!
