The longer it goes on without any real progress with the investigation the more I think this is just going to get swept under the rug or they will get a slap on the wrist in the offseason. In my mind the asterisk is there but that doesn't really account for much.
If the facts we have heard (balls PSI checked pregame,PSI dropped 2, weather can't effect the ball by that amount), I don't think there is a chance someone didn't alter the ball.
The problem, like spy gate, is the NFL has its own brand image to protect. The NFL wants to see this go away even more so than the Patriots, especially after the year the NFL has had.

The end. I think it's possible the league was tipped off and the Patriots didn't know. Someone told the league watch for this.
