37 followers so far...over 2300 hits. 240 first month....400 second month....700 3rd month...over 1000 4th 30 day period. Considering this winter sucks...lol...its getting there. Plus the problems of not being up to date with the rest of the site..its a 2 year plan and things next year at this time will be even better. Its getting there brook!

The really big thing Brook and I found this out too late is that wordpress.org will not allow adds..and thats why I need to move the site but Im just not sweating that right now. Looking at the big picture and getting all the links hot. That will happen over the next 20 days. I will then move the site in middle of February. Nobody will even be able to tell its moved...but it will be done in the next 30 or so days.

Depending on the models...Wednesday/Wednesday night could bring us as little as 1 to as much as 5 inches of snow. EURO model just showed a pretty big storm for the weekend and even bigger for Tuesday. Will update site with all chances tonite but just updated it for this week.

See it? On my site? Thats not from accuweather but from NWS themselves. They are strictly going by the GFS..and Im not sure thats the way to go but those numbers are directly from NWS. That 3 to 4 line runs straight thru Conn.

I'm freaking hating the warm winter. It rained all day yesterday on January 18th, the temperature was between 31 and 37 all day long and dropped to just freezing in the evening. The parking lot I use was a sheet of ice that almost dumped me into the road when I left in the morning and that I could not get up in the evening, so I parked on the street for the first time in two winters. It took me 25 minutes to navigate to my front door on foot because every surface around my building was a sheet of ice.

So today I get up to ice warnings because the temperature is going from 31 to 33 all morning. Two cars have difficulty in front of me on the road, one an oncoming traffic situation where I figured I had about a 20% chance of a collision until he spun into the ditch on his side of the road. I can't imagine what was going through his mind as he realized he had no control of his vehicle at all on a downhill with me less than 100 feet away and about 3 seconds from a collision.

That was a real sucky ice event Brad...real bad. The worst part was that even after it changed over to rain..like you said..the temps never got much above freezing...so the ice never really melted at the surface so by night..it was still frozen. Bad setup. My cousin friggin split his head open on a spill in his work parking lot. That storm was the true definition of "black ice". I hear you bud.

Sorry to hear about your cousin. I've had one bad fall on ice in my life, back in the 90's in my mid 30's. That one fall was enough to knock my back out of whack for two years. I was inching up the walkway to my door at the very edge holding onto tree branches and anything I could get my hands on because there was literally no purchase anywhere. I thought about going up on my hands and knees but I realized I wasn't even sure I could make it up the walkway doing that. Halfway up a 50 foot walkway I realized I was already past the point of no return. A few feet before that I was seriously considering going back down and renting a motel room for the night. The thing that stopped me was that I was afraid to do anything in which gravity would impart momentum downhill. I thought I'd wind up on my ass or even in the road prostrate which would have been a disaster.

Flip of the coin but think I got a grip on it...Like what the Euro has been doing with it the past 48 hours.
