  1. Yes, Maccagnan, Bowles, and Gailey are the dream team we need to succeed

  2. No, Idzick, Rex, and Marty had a plan and we should have been patient

You have to let it play out.

I honestly thought Idzik had a plan but the execution of it up to the point he got fired was poor.

I like Maccagnan's and Bowles' backgrounds and rise to the positions that they are now currently in.

Yes!!! Getting rid of blowhard Ryan was the best thing the Jets could do. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Idzik was crap too. I bet these two new hires do well for us. Woody just has to be patient now. Give them some time and this organization will be good in the near future.

    Big Rex supporter here.

But I'm optomistic for the future. So nothing has changed.

Let's be hones . Nobody knows. Its way to early to tell.

I still think we had the right coach in place already. Only time will tell.

If he consistently stomps our ass or God forbid actually wins a Super Bowl, would you still say the same thing?

Bills already stomp our ass so how would it be any different?

Like I said, let it play out.

I'm just happy as heck that this POS is not here.

    Yes.
Rex was a good coach for us, but he hit a wall early and couldn't get over or around it. Neither Rex nor the team were moving forward together, maybe the change will help both. A fresh start for everyone.

I am sure it will at least be a little better. We will definitely draft better. It remains to be seen how disciplined a team we are and how Bowles manages time and distance. Rex was awful the past few years in my book. Does this translate to championships? Impossible to say.

Sometimes its about finding the right combination of guys. Rex and Idzik was not working together. Who knows what would be with Rex, the right OC, and right GM. Same goes for Idzik and right coaching staff.

We wont know about the new guys until we see their product on the field.

Poll option #1 is more true than # 2, but both are equally gay. The actual missing answer is that the team is better off but without a real quarterback we are still going nowhere

I don't think so, but I can't remember exactly. It might have been The Great Race.

I think you are correct. Here's a quote from that film:

Franco: And now my friend, the first-a rule of Italian driving.
[Franco rips off his rear-view mirror and throws it out of the car]
Franco: What's-a behind me is not important.

I like my version better, but there it is.

I don't consider myself a Rex hater. But his defenders have to admit two things.

First is that the Jets had to fire Idzik, and could not do a replay of the Tanny firing/retain Ryan setup. It hurt the search last time, and it would have been insane to replay that situation.

Second is that Ryan in any event was far from blameless for the team's errors the last four years. I do not blame him at all for the sorry state of the secondary. But many other problems on the team, particularly the sad history of qb play, were within his responsibilities. The team was not getting better, and we saw too many problems recur over and over.

Ryan may do better with a change of scenery, but I personally think Buffalo was a poor choice for him. He's right back in the Qb quandary, one not much different than he had here. I would be surprised to see him solve that any time soon. Until he does, says here Buffalo is not going to be a success.

One thing is for certain...we are going to find out if Ryan was the problem on the Jets or if the problem moves with him. That answer will be pretty obvious before the end of next season.

I'm not sure what their cap situation is, but if they can bring in a decent QB, Rex will have some success. If he focuses on being the HC he'll do well, if he continues to be Head Cheerleader, probably not so well.
