unfortunately, correlation does not prove causation. I think he's lived solely off of Elway, and only after many years. And, as many many many Jets fans will tell you, we aint got one of those.
Id be very intrested in him in "Madden" legends mode if I can trade for John Elway as my QB.WTF is he gonna do with Geno SmitH?The same thing he did with RG3 nothing
I'd welcome him here. Experienced and has had some success against Beliturd Not sure why he'd want to come coach this train wreck though.
I just read on ESPN.com that Kyle Shanahan has had it in Cleve. and would like to depart. And would be interested in being OC on another team with his father as head coach. Reportedly there has been discord on the Browns coaching staff and complaints that plays were sent in by non coaching staff during games. How many coaches have bitten the dust there in the past five or six years. And how many Qbs have they drafted. And wasn't their new owner indicted for some kind of a fraudulent activity and agreed to pay something like a 92 million dollar settlement. They make us look sane.
With TGG all about cleaning house all I read is we deserve a HC who knows how to win regardless of who or how the QB plays, so what's all this talk about RG3 or even Geno? If Shanahan can't win multiple SBs with Mrs. Shanahan under center than we have no need for him.
Yes, that would be the reaction of the crusty old gomers who are completely out of touch with the modern NFL. That segment of the Jets fan population.
I went to that game and sat behind the Jets bench. Great game to go to if your a Jets fan because it was competitive and entertaining until the Jets really pulled away in the end, but let me tell you there were some ANGRY Redskins fans there that day, and justifiably so.
The most explosive player on the foreskins after DJax is Roy Helu jr. The Shanahan's turned him into a bench warmer. You want that coach to spearhead our offensive rebuild? No thanks.
No thanks. Shanahan was a mess with the Redskins. They gave Haynesworth a huge contract and Shanahan insisted he switch to a 3-4 nose tackle after he signed up. Even after his player openly criticized the defensive scheme, Shanahan stuck to his guns and pretty much ran his best player out of the league.
absolutely not. check what this guy has done since Elway and TD left the Broncos. 1 playoff win post Elway.
I'd normally agree but look at the skins without him...same issues...which makes me think it wasn't shanahan. I'd take his career sample over his redskins sample....that team has locker room issues and a QB that Shanahan tried to mask despite all the issues...So I'm willing to look past it based on what we just saw from the redskins without him.
his career sample over the skins is he hasn't had much success w/o Elway whether in Den, LA or Washington. did a great job 1995-1998 w/ Elway and TD. Elway retired after '98 and TD had career altering injury early in 1999. since then made a few playoff apps so he's not Joe Philbin but ONE playoff win posts Elway. Coached w/o Elway in Denver from 1999-2008 which is 10 seasons compared to the 4 successful ones w/ Elway/TD. That may be the small sample and he is probably more like post Elway. In Washington made 1 playoff app in 4 years when RG III was healthy and playing great in a weak division but again was one and done in the playoffs. add in his season and a qtr in Oak and w/o Elway he's coached 15+ years w/ one playoff win total.
