I've said before and I'll say again, Marrone's move was a no-brainer. He was looking at new ownership, his starting QB suddenly retires at age 32, they have no first round draft pick in 2015, and his contract allows him to opt-out AND collect $4 million. No-brainer. As for the comparison to BB, Hess died and he was looking at either Woody or Dolan as the finalists to become the new owner. In retrospect, he made the smart move. Even Parcells turned down Woody's plea to return as HC.
