In terms of overall prospects, Cook isn't in the top 10 right now. In terms of overall QB rankings, he's easily the clear cut #3 guy. Now if a team wants a good character guy w/ upside that can run the pro offense I could see Cook being on top of that team's draft board if they needed a QB. I know Mariota has more upside, but I still think Cook would translate the BEST to the pro level with a higher floor, but a lesser ceiling. He could be our Joe Flacco - which to me nothing is wrong with that. Cook's issues stems with his footwork - it needs to be cleaned up - the guy has a good arm and can throw VERY well on the run as well as stay in the pocket. I would love to have Cook on this team w/ a veteran QB to play early on. I like Cook more than any other QB prospect overall.
i thought i read somehwere..if the draft advisory says hes a 1st round pick he might consider....however everyone says he should go back to school and next year he will be a top 10 lock
We need a Vet stopgap qb to buy a couple of years so we aren't forced into another Geno situation.......
I agree....I even think we're better off with Geno. I thought Jake Waters out played him in the Alamo Bowl.
Giving this a bump. Hundley is the best QB in this draft. Anybody else come around to this yet or is everybody still in lala land?
@TonyPauline: I'm told New York Jets did a lot of classroom/white board work with Brett Hundley/QB after UCLA workout yesterday and came away impressed
You hate Mariota but want to waste a 2nd round pick on this guy, ok. His college coach couldn't even give him a full endorsement. We'll probably draft him.
I like Hundley a lot!! I was starting to think I was the only one. I think he projects very nicely to the NFL.
