We can only hope and pray that Tennessee goes quarterback. I wouldn't touch Jameis with a 10 foot pole.

Too bad we'll only need 9 feet

After watching the game I want Aguayo the kicker for the Noles if he comes out with a late round pick.

I think the ny media would kill him. He just does not make the right choices off the field

He's the best kicker in College Football no doubt.

    Honestly automatic.

If Marriota/Amari/Gregory/Williams are gone and Clevland likes Winston or Ray I would move the Pick for 12 + 19 + 3rd

Take Devante Parker and Andrus Peat at 12 and 19 and call it a good day!

I'd take Cardale Jones before Jameis Winston.

If we got Winston, we need to get a bridge QB for a year. If we want any shot at winning, we need a more competent short-term solution so that the season isn't thrown away. Can't leave it up to Smith if we've already decided that he has no future as the starter.

I'm not totally sure that sitting for a year really helps a QB all that much. You get almost no first team reps, and when you're running with the scout team you may develop bad habits as your goal is to imitate the opposing QB rather than actually focusing on developing yourself.

What it can help with is learning the scheme, improving things like footwork, acclimating to the NFL lifestyle and wealth, and improving physical fitness. It does not help you learn how to make decisions, build chemistry with the receivers, or anything like that - when you start your first game, it doesn't matter if you are officially a rookie or whether you're a second or third year de facto rookie. Once you start, for real, you will realize "Oh crap, I'm not prepared at all." Even if you've spent 3 years on the bench "learning the system" beforehand.

I think that for QBs with really lousy fundamentals, who are struggling to learn the system... those QBs can benefit from a year on the bench.

The biggest thing is that we would need to have total faith in Winston if we decided to draft him at #6. We cannot simply take him because he's viewed as starter-quality and we don't have a starting QB. We have to be convinced that "this is our guy" and the HC and GM have to be able to confidently say "I will stake my career on Jameis Winston becoming our franchise quarterback." If it's just a hope situation, where the thinking is "He's got all this talent, so let's just do this" then you absolutely have to pass on him. You have to take a guy who projects as a pro bowler at an impact position if you just hope and don't believe in him.

Personally, I do not believe in him whatsoever. I hope the Jets get a major impact player at another position and look to draft a QB in 2016.

He's totally undisciplined on and off the field.

This ^^^ if our guy is gone this would be the best possible scenario. Not sure who will be there because it's too early but 12,19, and a third I'd take in a heart beat.

Might not have to worry about Jameis, his comments lead me to believe he is staying in school.

Parker or Peat may not even be there at those picks.

Agreed. Not sure why people are so in love with him. On the field he's nothing too exciting and off the field he's an embarrassment and/or long-term suspension waiting to happen. No thanks.

If we can't get Mariota, which we can't unless we trade up, we should take Cooper or the BPA at that point. Winston would be a disaster.

Amari is great but only 6-1 but I'd still take him.
