I agree, Marrone seems to be highly respected around the league and had the Bills trending up but I don't follow anything about the Bills so I don't know much about him.
We could exhume Vince Lombardi for head coach, and we'd just hear complaints that the game has passed him by.
Because he is a top defensive mind in the NFL, as I stated earlier. In a situation like Atlanta, he should be able to succeed.
After tonight's game Mariotta should be the overall number one which means we don't get him unless they trade the store to the Bucs to get him. Winston is another story. If he goes pro he'll maybe be available at 6 despite his flawed game. Which means turnovers. But he's been compared to Big Ben which is a big deal. And it could mean that his game will translate better to the NFL than Mariotta. If Marrone is the head coach would he want another FSU Qb. I don't think do. That goes for me, too. Ok, I personally don't like him and that's why. I think he got away with a sexual assault and it was covered up because school and local/State officials care more about a football game than justice. Just my opinion.
Woody is a terrible owner and a liar and a snake. He said Rex could be brought back even despite having a losing record. As we've found out that's a lie. He said he was on board with Idzik's plan and that the Jets were rebuilding. We've found out that that was a lie. He claims he didn't know what Idzik was doing and the Jets were in win now mode. I said this before and I'll say it again they had to get rid of Rex if they wanted to get rid of Idzik. They couldn't saddle the new GM with Rex. So it's either clean house or give Rex and Idzik time to build the team and rectify their mistakes.

Wow I can't believe that Mehta Daily News piece. What is he talking about, sleazy? I can't even tell what he is insinuating exactly. The article is an absolute smear job, he obviously hates Marrone. Pretty weird for a guy who is supposed to be a professional journalist.
except schefter,monday on mike and mike, said he was not going to be surprised at all if marrone opted out and said he would immediately be a hot commodity in this years carousel.
Casserly is also a fan of Bowels, I think this is just Manish Metha stirring the pot once again. Woody hasn't even interviewed Quinn , Bowels , or Marrone yet! Also who's to say Marrone is going to take the Jets job? After all, Chicago and Atlanta are interviewing him as well..
Mehta hates the Jets. He shouldn't be covering them but he gets the Daily News all the traffic that Jets haters provide and so he stays on the job.
Part of me is worried and part of me wants to shrug it off because Mehta obviously has a hard on for Woody, and by extension, every meaningful decision this franchise ever makes.
