I Marrone is able to bring back the OL to the state he left it when he was the Jets OL coach the Jets will be vastly better. It was the biggest issue this season, not the secondary.
Being OK with Marrone isn't to the exclusion of other options. Most fans, including myself, would be fine with other options, such as Quinn or Jackson. Marrone just happens to be a name out there and one of many guys who is, in my view, better than Rex at managing all three phases. Sent using Tapatalk
I wonder what the Rex Nuthuggers will say when Marone gets a job and Rex doesn't. I am not all in on Marrone, but there are definitely some aspects of it that make sense including one of the things I gauge from these boards as a high priority "Head Coaching" experience.
He quit because the Jets blew the deal to keep him and Kraft scooped him up. I am no NE fan but we lost a HOF Coach who could have gotten US Tom Brady!! Another historic bad business decision by the Jets
He obviously isn't a high charecter guy,What concerns me the most is he still gets the 4mill from Buffalo for the 2015 season and the Salary the Jets would give him,What's this guys motives?I mean he did quit on his team out of the blue.I just hope we don't fuck this up
Worth noting Mike McCarthy was the OC of the last ranked 49ers before being hired as the HC for Green Bay.
This is the problem with this mentality. We had a defensive coach as our head coach, and our offense was trash while our defense was great. That's because our head coach spent every waking second working with the defense! Our head coach! I don't care whether he was an offensive coach or defensive coach, as long as he's prepared to be a head coach and oversee the whole team. I loved Rex, but at some point, heads needed to roll. His personality sucks you in and blinds you to the fact that he legitimately just didn't care about the offense. By the way, the Patriots' HC is a defensive coach, but who hasn't been more impressed with their offense? I'm intrigued by Marrone, but would prefer Kubiak or Hue Jackson. Let's see what happens. But Marrone's offense abused our once great defense twice this year.
Please. SP designed the offence and called the plays in NO. Marrone was in effect the O-line coach. And that's his right level BTW.
I'm glad people are wary of Marrone because I sure as hell am. Please Woody, do this thing the right way and hire Tom Gamble as your GM and let him be involved in selecting a new HC.
We were warned about Sparano. We're being warned about Marrone. Red flag are popping up like daisies in the springtime. So with all that in mind, why are we even wasting time on this? Because Woody is injecting himself into the process once again.
He left there because he thought he could put the squeeze on his novice owner boss and get a sinecure for him and his atrocious assistants (Hackett/Morris). When that didn't work he turned his back and walked out the door. Not what we want in a leader. Plus he is totally gutless as well as clueless when it comes to running an offence. He is certainly the worst option for the job. Listen to what that poster was telling you. He is 100% right. Oh and btw I'm sure that you didn't watch the games . Or if you did you know nothing about football.
Bills players, fans and local media all happy to see Marrone go. And that's coming off their first winning season in a decade.....it says a lot WGRs Jeremy White in Buffalo tweet minutes ago : Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thanks for the Red Flag. We've seen these kinds of warnings come from Fin fans when we were stupid enough to hire Sparano. They were right about Sparano too and it set our offense back. You follow the Bills I'm sure alot closer than we do so my guess is your analysis is most likely correct.
