Woody Johnson needs to sell this team if he hires this guy.

    Unreal.

Some fans just don't get it.

Fair or unfair if I have to choose between MM and Geno, I will take Geno everyday of the week and twice on Sundays.

His nickname was "4th and Marrone" because he would always punt on very short distances with games still in the balance during obvious "go for it" situations.....his OC Paul Hackett is another one ...they rarely targeted Sammy Watkins and threw screens more than any team id ever seen......most Jets fans don't know how bad this staff is...outside of Schwatrz..because the Bills two best games this yr were against ganggreen.

I believe he handed in his resignation on a napkin. Local papers are labeling him a disciplinarian with unbending ways. I guess we're screwed with this guy.

Ok his OC is Nathaniel Hackett, Paul's son which is scary enough. His father was by far the most detested assistant coach in NYJ history. If you think they hated Schotty it was no contest: Paul Hackett was worse. So when I saw Paul's name I really got scared.

To the Mehta tweets, just remember on December 6th with rex still on the Jets and mike smith still on the Falcons Mehta wrote a rex is a perfect fit for Atlanta article with a photoshopped picture of rex in Falcons gears and a falcon backdrop at the podium.

You wonder who he is writing for?

I didn't follow marrone so I don't know enough about him to have an opinion. I am very impressed the Bills went 9-7 with Kyle Orton/Manuel but they also showed some coaching weaknesses like being outplayed by Oakland.

Gonna research him more, but I figure he opted out because he has somewhere to go or wants to go. Who knows if it's here or somewhere else.

This is depressing. This better not happen man, I'm as loyal as they come but this is really fucking bad.

I'm sorry I dissed on Kubiak. Give me Kubiak over this clown any day and that is saying something because I don't like Kubiak either.

Some of you are such a joke. Acting all negative about this. Who he heck do you think they were getting. This wouldn't be a bad hire at all.

Thanks for this. It's great that you live upstate but next time watch the games with the tv on. This guy coached his ass off this season. And he left there to come to the Jets.

It's not bad at all. Nice job getting a guy who coached his ass off last season off on the right foot.

It's this type of mentality that makes me sick to my stomach. What has the guy done that Rex hasn't done for this team? You could make the same argument last year with Rex getting this team to an 8-8 record with that roster.

The guy hasn't accomplished anything, he wasn't even a good college coach, yet so many are praising this guy?

It is horrible, not bad, horrible.

I don't wan't to bust anyone's bubble. But when it comes to prospective coaching candidates the Jets are the ugly bridesmaid that nobody wants to dance. We may be getting the most qualified guy to take the job.
