I don't know, I think there is a lot of evidence to suggest that inter-generational poverty has a pretty similar effect. The sad fact is not enough black Americans have gotten themselves into the middle class, however many black adults have succeeded. I'm not smart enough to know what the root cause really is, but I'm not buying the trope that the majority just doesn't care to try hard enough and have ready made excuses just waiting for them so they don't need to.

He is probably talking about the illegals that come here, work as much as they can and take the money they earned to live like a king back in their home country
Look at the population growth in the world. Lack of jobs due to tech. An aging demographics and all that comes with that. Debt levels of individuals, cities, states and countries. A fight for natural resources. Hey, lets bring a kid into this world

to the guy that pointed the gun at the officer it is clear as day he had to get shot in return. It wasnt a cell phone and you clearly see him extending both arms pointing towards the officer. Pretty stupid for an 18yr old.

Well, a lot of it lies in the willingness to make the sacrifices required to succeed. I was born in Harlem back in the day but had the drive and ambition to make a good life for myself. What isn't being taught is that there are other ways out of the hood outside of a basketball court or a playing field. Young Black kids with the intelligence to be Engineers or Lawyers or Doctors aren't put out front as examples. Hip Hop artists and basketball players are. So when a kid doesn't grow to be 6'-7", doesn't graduate HS and his Rap career doesn't take off, then what..

Also, there aren't enough households headed by both a Father and Mother. Not to disparage single family households, but its much easier when a Dad is around for a kid to succeed. He doesn't have to be bioDad although that does help, but its better to have a man around the house. I had that. You have to have that structure, discipline and direction early in life. Kids have to see what hard work looks like and what the results of that work bring. They also have to be taught everyday that life owes you nothing and not everyone wins no matter how hard they might work at something. Just the cold hard facts.

What they see are people taking shortcuts and getting material things without putting in the hard work. They also fall victim to the "crabs in a bucket" syndrome. That explains why so many successful minorities get the hell outta the hood. What that leaves behind are bitter folks that can't consistently succeed because they don't have the tools or the character to do so.

    Just my $.02

Can't argue with any of this, it pretty much explains how I was raised, except if you substitute the north shore of LI for Harlem.

But, seriously, why aren't more black kids learning these very basic lessons? How come so many of them seem to lack the necessary structure/discipline/direction? I'm all for holding people accountable and responsible for their actions, but just saying that doesn't fix things in the ghetto. The answer isn't putting more people in prison.

Shit, if we could answer that question, we would be the next winners of the Nobel Peace Prize. I will say this. A lot of what Kids see is how their parents act and deal with the world. Kids tend to emulate their parents and wind up like their parents. Sometimes that's good, sometimes not. Character is learned behavior and if the Parent doesn't have it, chances are the kids won't either. Not every adult is cut out to be a parent. Some just can't handle the responsibility. Some run, some get arrested and some are simply too young to cope. They don't understand that you can be a friend to your child but first and foremost, you are the parent of that child. They are not one and the same.

Either way, its a recipe for failure on a generational scale. How to change that? You have to change priorities. You have to change mindsets. People don't usually change those things without a near death experience and even then, its iffy. What has to be the question is: How important is it for your child to compete and succeed in life? What are you willing to do to make that happen? How can you change YOUR behavior to become a role model for your children. Until the problem is acknowledged in those specific areas, there won't be a permanent solution for it.

A really long hard look in the mirror would go a long way to help the overall situation for everybody.

I think Cman has hit it pretty well on the head. There seems to be an overwhelming ideology in the black community that they either want to get rich in sports or entertainment or are willing to be in poverty. There is no middle ground being pushed and supported in the community to a large extent.

They look for an easy way out of poverty by avenues which are fun like music and sports but are not interested in moderate middle class success that can be achieved by activities that aren't fun like studying and going to school.

That's a values issue. There needs to be a better job by black leaders to help develop a change in values and ideology in the black community, but instead they are too busy fueling black victimization which requires an ignorant, uneducated and angry black community.

Bangbros Exploits "I Can't Breathe" In Latest Depressing Porn Video
    [IMG]

With just hours left to make 2014 an even shittier year, classy porn site Bangbros has released the latest film in its celebrated Bang Bus series, "Protestor Exercises Her Right to Take Cock!" Yes, it is a parody of the protests in the wake of the police killings of Michael Brown and Eric Garner.

Unlike some brands that shoot themselves in the foot by hastily jumping on trends they don't understand, Bang Bros knows exactly what it's doing here. It just doesn't care.

With all of the police brutality cases that you see on the news nowdays, you know the streets of Miami are going to get crazy! We come across this blonde babe named Marsha May, and she is in full protest mode. Holding up a sign and everything! We offer her a ride, and offer a lending hand.... or should we say, offer her a HARD DICK!!! Hahaaaa!

    Hahaaaa! Good one, bros!

"It's cool that this babe wants to fight for her rights and all that, but all we care about here at Bangbros HQ is picking up fresh gullible pussy," they continue, quite accurately.

The "babe fighting for her rights" is white, incidentally, and she's holding a sign that reads "I Can't Breath [sic]," something the bros pause to make fun of before they bang her in another totally believable scenario.

"She wants equality? Well, she fucking got it! Hard cock down her throat and up her sweet lil cunt. Her perfect pink snatch got drilled while she thought she was doing it for the right cause," Bangbros philosophically muses.

Amateur, Big Ass, Blonde, Blowjob, Cumshot, Enhanced Tits, Facial, Handjob, Hardcore, White.

Meanwhile, the New York Police Department is in open revolt against a mayor who dared to suggest, after police killed an unarmed black man with a chokehold, that perhaps not all cops treat the city's black residents equally.

I don't know man. like I said earlier,i sat through a HS graduation and saw 1st hand who gets the upper hand, opportunities and plenty of free money for school just for upkeeping a minimal passing grade average. The opportunities are there, but some people would still rather pass it up and complain and use excuses. My Irish immigrant relatives didn't have it all that easy when they came to NY,but worked their ass off from poverty to get where they needed to be. When illegals come here now, they are farmer migrant workers for the most part, living in bunks 40 to a house. they don't care, they work 5am to 8pm 7 days a week and don't stop for lunch. This doesn't apply to everyone in the "projects"or anywhere else. There are plenty of good people there too,who probably feel the most threatened of all.

pretty much spot on. Its also not easy to be that kid who wants to do the right thing, when the other kids are doing other things.

Probably hard to be that kid in the group that likes school and expresses interest on getting far away from your home neighborhood. That kid is probably subjected to quite a bit

So blacks in America have better opportunities than whites? Obviously I don't think that's true, if that's even what you mean.

I think its the rare kid that's going to take advantage of whatever opportunities are out there unless he has the right parents. Look at the video in the McDonalds thread. That woman is clearly of child bearing age, shudder the thought. If she has kids, they have no fucking chance. If she has parents, they should be shot.

I agree with this. Opportunities are meaningless if no one takes advantage of them. Regarding the McDonald's bitch, she the poster child of what's wrong with that generation. If she should produce kids, they might as well stamp their birth certificates "HoodRat" and move along.

Totally agree. Regardless of race ,if youre not brought up right youre going to have a rough road. But there are compensatory opportunities available for minorities that would be labeled as racist had they been available for others. Can you imagine the shitstorm if there was a white college fund? Or downright saying were hiring more whites? Whether those opportunities will be taken advantage of is based on if they are led to them,i get that. But isn't that kind of race divided opportunity a trumping of equality? Its pretty much telling people they need extra help that whites don't need. That in itself creayes a mindset of separation on both sides. The whole system creates divide from the get go.
