I expect him to trade up in the first and get the QB. He went all in on EJ and flopped leaving the Bills shit out of luck for 2015. All that cap money we have is as good as spent. Full on win now mode. Cross your fingers we aren't sitting here 2017 with no QB, no first round pick and old players eating up all our cap space.

I was pretty content with the guy we had. First coach to out-perform his talent since Parcells.

Would you prefer Rex Ryan then. At least Marrone had the smarts to bench EJ Manuel. They had a chance with Kyle Orton. I think Rex actually copied that move when he sat down Geno. I doubt that Marrone would quit without a deal in place. But since the Bills new owners wouldn't give him an extension he could see the writing on the wall. They wanted their own man.

What exactly did Marrone do to earn an extension? I prefer someone that can build an at the very least average offense, that's all we needed to get in to the playoffs. Pegula had every right to piss all over that idea. The fact he got another chance to fix the offense first, THEN get an extension was only fair.

I unfollowed Manish a couple of weeks ago on Twitter. My best decision of 2014.

Ferguson better than Glenn. Mangold better than wood. Giacomini better than Henderson. Harvin and decker better than Watkins and Robert woods. Scott chandler isn't better than Amaro. Ivory is better than the banged up Jackson and spiller

Our defensive line grades out basically as good as theirs. Richardson is ranked the 2nd best 3-4 DE end behind watt and Wilkerson would be just as high (was second last year) but was injured. Harrison is one of the best run stuffing NTs in the NFL as well. The bills also didn't have Kiko Alonso this year

If I remember correctly, Syracuse beat Geno twice in one season a few years back with Marrone. Once in the regular season and once again in a bowl game.

Yep, here we go. Pinstripe Bowl: http://scores.espn.go.com/ncf/recap?gameId=323640183

    Jets 4-12.

Yeah the Bills kicked our butt twice, but we were 4-12. The guy is 15-17 as a HC. I'm sorry but that is not enough for me to get excited over. It is a better option than say Tom Cable, but IMO he isn't an upgrade from Rex. And I wasn't a huge Rex fan.

Offensive mind, previous head coaching experience. I still like Kubiak but this guy fits the requirements of what i'm looking for.

I think my favorite thing about this offseason is going to be the legion of Jets fans who are going to have to contort themselves into pretzels in order to pretend Marrone is an exciting choice as a new HC, simply because they bitched so much about Rex Ryan that it would literally break their heart to state the obvious, which is that if someone had said a month ago "Would you be happy if on January 1st the Jets fired Rex and hired Doug Marrone?" everyone would have been apoplectic and calling it a typical Same Old Jets dumbass move.

I'm trying to make 200 posts before midnight so bear with me here.

What will I miss about Rex, lets see...

2009 - he went 9-7 because the Colts folded in a game they were winning. I give him credit for the playoff run though. But he gets no credit for not realizing in a presser that the team was not eliminated. Classic Rex, dumb-ass Rex.
2010 - he went 11-5, a good record, but we have to go thru the circus of his foot fetish and alt.com sex site nonsense. Beat the Pats in Foxburough and that was the highlight of his stay.
2011 - Comes out and says we are winning the Superbowl, goes 6-10. Embarrassment galore!
2012 - we go 8-8 losing the last 3 and miss the playoffs. Rex should have been fired with T-bomb.
2013 - Puts Sanchez back in a game to win a Snoopy Bowl and loses his QB. Miraculous 8-8 record.
    2014 - Bad

I won't miss Rex, but I'm leaving out so much more so add to the list.

@KevinMawae: I'd play for Marrone anytime! 5 years as my OL coach with @nyjets ranks w/ the best of them!

He's early 70's and built the Bills great teams of the late 80's and early 90's. he's a very credible hire there if Bon Jovi is a big Bills fan from that era, which he probably is.

I can't wait until two years from now when the same fans are looking into who should be the next coach.

He doesn't even make an effort to be a reputable journalist anymore. He just an obvious troll. That doesn't stop people from following him though - for some reason.
