I meant Schwartz as the Bills new HC. I doubt the Bills are interested in Rex as part of a HC swap. Since they would be getting the worst of that deal.

    that's kinda my point.
i can't really pinpoint anything this guy brings to the table.

Talent, along with Pettine and Schwartz, is what led to the defensive improvements.
The Bills offense has been a conservative disaster. Oline is probably his expertise, but that hasn't been impressive either.

i don't see what there is to get excited about here.

This is classic "grass is always greener" shit. Oh Marrone is a disciplinarian, he must be better than Rex!

9-7 with two wins against a team tied with the 2nd worst record in the league. A completely inept offense for the entire second half of the season and a defense that didn't dominate until Schwartz was brought in. Again I ask, what is there to like? The fact that he has a different personality than Rex?

Marrone is very interesting. A bit old but this is not his first job and he has some qualities the Jets have been lacking recently, among them the ability to realize his 1st round QB wasn't very good and move on before he got fired by him. He also knows Geno, having scouted him as a college opponent at Syracuse. I think he might be just what the doctor ordered in either making Geno work or moving on in a hurry.

You may be right, but it's worth looking at his time as Saints OC from 2006-2008. I'm not giving him credit by any means, but it seems like he knows how to develop a Qb. And he certainly knows how to bench a Qb when development won't help/won't happen fast enough.

I'm not sure I'd give him credit for developing a QB. E.J. Manuel regressed after 4 games this year

Would Rex go to the Bills? I mean he has a strong connection to Dave and Buster's. Could sway him.

Rex coached the team and the GM left the team a barren wasteland to preserve money. Didn't think that would have to be explained.

Doug is a Bronx guy and former offensive lineman and coach. He must have a strong interest in the Jets to resign without some interest. We could do worse.

I'm liking the thought of Marrone as HC but lets not forget Kotite was from Brooklyn. I'm not saying; I'm just saying.

Where?? At 2nd receiver and RB? Bills entire D is better and so was the QB, and yes Orton is better than Geno.
