I think he will find a head coaching job if he wants it or a tv deal. It's been a strange road with Rex. He's changed a lot since his induction with the Jets.

Thank you, now go get a gd snack!

Yep thank you Rex. He never delivered his promise, but it was great watching him along the way. Fuck the haters.

Thank you Rex for the best two years a Jets Fan could ask (With the exception of not winning the SB)

Thank you to the OLD Rex. He was great. When he changed, he became pathetic. This firing happened 2 years too late, but that is life. People are being way too nostalgic about Rex. He has become a complete loser the last few years.

you didn't say you felt like we could win any game we walked into because of the attitude Rex instilled? If you didn't say that, then Im wrong, if you did say that, youre delusional'

If you take that literally than yes it went over your head. The point was that he is an amazing motivator and the players loved playing for him and if they gave him everything they had because they believed in him.

Youre delusional. How many games were we completely unprepared to play and completely unmotivated under Rex. Go back the last 4 years and honestly answer that questions. Rex is a fucking buffoon. The only reason players " liked" him is because it was a fuckin country club

Motivation was barely a problem under Rex. You can try and convince yourself otherwise but to quote you, you're just being delusional. Talent was and has always been the problem under Rex.

I, for one, am sorry to see him go. He was the team's identity (whether good or bad is up for debate.) I liked the guy and wish him luck in his next endeavor. I just hope it is behind a camera rather than on an opposing sideline.

Again, go back and tell me how many games we cam out completely flat in the last 4 years. Including every fucking game after our byes. Please stop with this master motivator bullshit.

You may be one of the only people on this planet that doesn't think Rex is one of the best motivators in the business. Seriously can you find more than a handful of people that agree with your sentiment? I'm not saying you should just conform but at some point you have to look around and realize you were the only one with this opinion.

I guess we can throw out to this forum. I highly doubt I am the only person around who thinks the motivation factor has been grossly over blown as evidenced by.....and I hate to repeat myself.....the amount of games that we came out flatter than Gwen Stefani

You are wrong. Teams are smart enough to realize Rex record this year wasn't a reflection of him as a coach but a reflection of the talent he had to work with. I may be in the minority but that's ok. In my opinion Rex was the best coach to ever coach this team. You'll never find another coach like him. Woody get off my lawn.

We went into the freaking AFCCG completely unprepared. I've never forgiven him after that.

If he's a great coach he takes mediocre talent and wins games. Not visa versa. He had a lot better talent than a 4-12.

They came out flat and unprepared A LOT in the Rex era... even in years where they were playing well. Rex was also a very bad coach after the bye. jonnyd is so right.
