Wow, very very cool. It's so interesting looking back on how interrelated some of those acts were and who played with whom. Stones, Clapton, Jeff Beck, Traffic, Hendrix, it's geometric really. _
Ian McLagan, who recently passed away, was also there. He was in the Faces with Ronnie Wood and Rod Stewart (back when he made real music) and Kenney Jones, who I saw with The Who at the Garden.
That early Jeff Beck Group also became one of my favorites. I hadn't heard Ain't Superstitous until years after I thought Stewart was nothing more than the "Do You Think I'm Sexy" and "Tonite's the Night" guy and I was blown away that it was the same person. _
Interesting tidbit from Wiki: The Ronnie Lane/Rod Stewart-led Faces featured this song on their 1971 album Long Player, and McCartney based his live performances of the song more on their version. _
Cool. Long Player is one of my all-time favorite albums. Bought it at a used record and clothing store in Woodstock, NY in or around 1978.
