Yup, never understand his logic when it comes to these things. It's like when a baseball team can't score runs, they switch things up in a desperate effort to get something going. Understand the serious doubts in Simms & I'm not confident he can be positive either. However, I want to see every QB on the roster get a shot. I've seen enough of Vick & Geno to know Jets should be looking elsewhere this offseason. Whatever happened to the competition at all positions mantra?
It's one of if not his biggest flaw, he believes in "his guys" no matter what. Once he gives a player his stamp of approval (sometimes even prematurely) he backs himself into a corner where he doesnt ever want to move on from that player. Cause like you said, it's admitting a mistake.
If that is Rex's opinion, I have no interest in watching the Jets these final games. I don't rubberneck on the highway and I wont do it with the Jets car crash. I'll root for them in 2015 when Rex is gone. Typical Rex, full of bravado, big talk, and no ability to adapt. Woody knows full well that the fan base has no interest in seeing Smith take the field again and Vick will be gone. There is no reason to start these guys. None. They haven't earned it, and both suck. Maybe Simms does too but we wont know until he is given a full shot. I can't watch Rex act all hang dog when the Jets get crushed by the Dolphins and Pats and talk about how his team rallied around him when the Jets beat the Vikes and Titans like he actually accomplished something. He's a joke and I'm sick of watching his act. Woody really should have fired him last night.
You have a lost cause in that waste of a pick, Geno. Vick is washed up and ins't good. So why not start Simms and at least see if you have a legit backup for the future in him. Atleast Simms would play hard and prepare.. Can't say the same for the other two clowns..

Simms isn't going to start because he isn't good. Why is that so hard to understand? There's nothing invested in him, there are probably guys on the street better than him and theres a reason he ended up on the PS... no one else wanted him. It's Bret Ratliff syndrome all over again with some of you guys.
