Is there no thread for this? I can't find it. Anyway, let's chat about it! Lots of Snow in Buffalo right now. Could play a factor in the game. Obviously Geno ruined the game (and his career) last time, but now with Vick I think the Jets have a legitimate chance at winning. The Bills are not that good, losers of 2 in a row, and the Jets should feel good coming off of a Bye and a win vs. The Steelers. Sammy Watkins is still a big issue though.
I think cold weather and winds could be to the Jets advantage because we have the better running game. This should be a ground and pound event all day long for the Jets. Plus advantage Mike Vick in a run first game over Orton who is slow. I wouldn't be surprised that if the Jets D stuffs them they bring in EJ in the 2nd half. One guy for the Jets to look out for is Chris Johnson. If the Jets don't go under a -1 on turnovers we win by 6.
Bills players and coaches can't even make it to practice. This storm is absolutely having a negative effect on the Bills chances on Sunday.,
7 feet of snow in Buffalo by Sunday? Why would anyone live there? Atleast people in Alaska get paid to live there.
I was very positive about the Jets chances in the first match up and we came out so flat. Sitting at the game embarrassed as my Bills fan Sister In-law chewed my ear off wasn't fun either. Vick a few weeks with the first team under his belt should play better then he did in the first match up. The snow should make Ivory a bigger part of the offense but with our play calling who knows? So this time no expectations and maybe our level of play will go up.
I actually heard the game might get moved back later? http://www.nj.com/jets/index.ssf/20...s-buffalo_bills_kickoff_time_being_moved.html Hey maybe the Jets will be on a Sunday Night game? who would have thought?
Yeah, hopefully Marty won't decide to get cute. It's a shame that on both sides of the ball play calling is so miserable.
Don't get too cocky, guys, Bills are very good against the run, top-5 I believe. Plus they know Jets will be running. It won't be as easy as it looks. A sure bet on this game is the under
Yeah, I do give credit to the Bills defense. The Jets could barely get a 1st down and were turnover crazy with Geno AND Vick. You would expect the Jets to not commit 6 turnovers again this time though and maybe cause a few of their own on D.
the stadium personnel said its the worst conditions they've ever seen the stadium in. Bills are paying 10 bucks an hour plus tickets to the game if you help shovel the stadium out
Just watching the news on Buff. People trapped in cars. Deep snow drifts with more snow over the next few days. Bills officials say the game is on but Bills players can't even practice.
Well watching CNN right now. The stadium is buried under snow. And Jim Kelly says not sure where they will put all this snow even if they can shovel. Maybe ice eating machines?
Why not reschedule at the Roger Centre in Toronto. The Bills have played games there. It's a domed stadium. I checked their website and there are no events scheduled for Sunday or Monday. Plus the weather although precipitation is for mild temps-in the 40's.
The new owner would refuse to do that. Toronto games are a sore subject with that fanbase. It's more likely that they play the game monday night in Buffalo than in Toronto.
they should just play on top of the massive snow bands. At least it would slow Sammy Watkins down huffing through multiple feet of snow. Plus who better to serve as a snow plow to the end zone than Chris Ivory....Advantage Jets.
The Jet run game is not an advantage in slippery conditions. Neither the Oline or the Dline gets good traction for the push offs. And the run calls on 1&2 downs are too often in the past.
