See I think this goes too far. I get that he hasnt been good in his job but I am assuming that he has a family. This sort of thing crosses the line in my opinion.
Who cares? Dude is a freaking millionaire - they aren't throwing stones at his house or attacking his children. It's only a billboard. Call me if someone starts banging his wife.
I have to agree with this. The product on the field should speak to his job security; what will a billboard do? It's not like he isn't already on the hot seat And I'm not saying he's done a good job here or that I believe in his "plan", but if it wasn't for the injuries to Milliner and McDougle and whatever crazy thing happened to Patterson, this could have been a different team.
Really? Whats his family got to do with this? So does Rex Ryan, so do all the players...what do the families do when their son gets booed gameday, cry? Good grief
Ah this warms the cockles of my heart. It reminds me when Joe Walton was the HC & the NYJ fans hired a plane to tow a banner behind it during a NYJ home game & the banner said "if joe walton brain was in a bird that bird would fly backwards". When the plane 1st flew over the stadium there was much cheering from the crowd but alas it did no good since the losing has continued to this day
You can boo him and be happy when he gets fired. Having a billboard to get him fired makes absolutely no sense. Its not going to change Woodys mind. If anything its a waste of your money. Donate it to charity or something like that. I will never root for someone to lose their job. Thi is rooting for someone to lose their job.
Its Booing on a billboard, and people can spend their hard earned cash how they like, don't you think?
He deserves this. The way he conducted himself in that press conference was a joke. It just shows how clueless he is. After all that's happened this season for him to try and stand there and continue to sell his bullshit was insulting to fans.. Even Rex would never have the audacity to talk like Idzik did in the middle of a shitshow like this. Idzik is a used car salesman. I saw yesterday how he was able to convince dumbfuck Woody Johnson and his little committee of non-football people that he was right for the job.
Why will you never root for someone to lose his/her job? If they're grossly incompetent and their poor performance directly affects you, why wouldn't want them to get fired? What if it was your boss and he was giving you a hard time, and he was wrong and the one who was incompetent? Would you just take it or quit if you loved your job aside from your boss? How about some of the lousy senators and congressmen/women we have, who espouse views that are diametrically opposed to your own? I wouldn't do it just out of jealousy or because I disliked someone, but I see nothing wrong with rooting for someone to lose their job if they deserve to lose it.
How would it be any different? Patterson is a career backup/journeyman that was injured a lot and not a NFL starter by any means, Milliner was atrocious last year and was benched 3x and injury prone, and McDougle is a walking injury as well. The fact that Idzik felt safe with these 3 as his top cornerbacks speaks volume on how over his head this guy is being the GM of this team. He was playing with fire in the first place and taking a huge risk and it didnt pay off and he needs to be held accountable.
