Do you remember Matt Ryan at BC? Extremely weak arm, not athletic or mobile at all. Mariota is twice the player Ryan was.

Arthur Blank needed a clean cut choir boy to be the face of his franchise after the Mike Vick dog fighting scandal.

I thought Ryan would be okay at best be surprised me. Mariota looks like the product of his offense I don't know if that'll translate to the pros.

That's such a cliche. Everyone is the product of their system to a certain extent.

The kid along with Winston is so much more physically talented than anyone else but he's much smarter than Winston and isn't a douchebag off the field.

Yeah, kinda. With getting rid of Shonn Greene and having an unproved Ivory and Powell? Lacy was a stud coming out. You're high. Yeah, a WR probably would have been a better pick, but to take Geno WAS and IS a fucking mistake. So YOU, shut the fuck up..

Right but there are some QB's that benefit due to the system more than others. If he's going to have any success he might have to sit for a year. But I don't see his style of play translating.

Winston is talented but he's immature. He'd be a bad fit in NY especially in our dysfunctional organization.

Oregon is an under 500 team w/o Mariota. They have average, at best, skill players, a shaky o-line and a sub-par defense. He is carrying that team on his back.

With the benefit of hindsight it's easy to say this NOW. But in April 2013 Geno the top rated QB made more sense of a selection than a Eddy Lacy or Kiko.

While you do make a valid point, and I do somewhat agree, it's a huge red flag why this guy dropped from being the supposed "#1 pick" and dropped to the 2nd round and fucking EJ Manuel got taken before him.

And given the chance, Murray, Bortles, Mettenberger, will all be better than Geno. Hell, even Bridgewater will be better... I like Carr better, too... He just has not team, like Bortles..

I don't really see the Ryan comparison with Mariota except for the fact that both in college carries their teams.

Listen you dumb shit, I am glad you are not in charge of running this team, because you would fuck us till the end of time. Why dont you do us a favor and go follow that other BUST to the Eagles board?

Sanchez will always be a Mexican't

I don't know about you, but I said it in April of 2013 that taking Geno would be a waste and a mistake. Had nothing to do with Sanchez, either. The Jets did what the Jets do.. They flubbed up and failed to pay attention to the red flag.

It had everything to do with Sanchez . You have been anti-Geno because the fanbase and the franchise shitted on your GQ boy, Sanchize.

So the style of a 6-4 225 lb strong armed, accurate, quick release, smart, fast, mobile, athletic superstar QB leading a potential national championship team won't translate to the NFL.

    Makes sense.

Yeah but that won't translate to the NFL.

Real insightful post and comeback. I'm glad that no one on here runs this team. I didn't know that was even possible that a bunch of people on a message board were in the running for running the team..

Great with the ethnic bullshit. You're real smart. Let me guess, you still want separate water fountains? You're a buffoon..

Oh, yeah, you're 100% right... Real smart.

You are why Jets fans can never have nice things. You're why we get a bad rap. You probably booed Santa Clause.

Yep all those translate, in addition to good footwork, pocket awareness and poise.

I felt Bridgewater was the only QB that I felt was better than Geno for sure. Everybody else was a toss up. It's hard to pass on Geno for the uncertainty of the '14 class outside of Teddy. I was not interested in the likes of Johnny Football or Greg McElroy 2.0 (Murray), I was not sold on Bortles once I got a chance to watch him play. Right now guys like Bortles, Teddy etc have been average at best and are experiencing growing pains. Carr has played the best so far.
I don't see it either he reminds me of Kaepernick.

Yeah but let's take a WR and get unnamed QB in 2016.

Mark Sanchez does not equate to nice things. Too bad I ruined Christmas for you. Deal with it.
