I would unquestionably give a 6th round pick and $6.5 million in rollover money to see Namath get knocked out cold.
Y'all be smart now. No reason to buy his jersey when he'll either be cut or switch to 10 or 11 this spring.
glad he's taking an available number, and didn't attempt to buy one already in use. needs to come in here and prove he doesn't consider himself above the team..
Definitely agree. Let's hope that RR can turn around Harvin, as well as this ship. The ball hasn't bounced our way this year, but maybe there's a chance for the Jets to salvage it and setup for 2015. Sent using Tapatalk
Rich Cimini @RichCimini Idzik says he started having substantive talks with Sea last week before NE game. Talks "crystallized" after NE game. #nyj There's the answer for everyone who has been whining about the timing of the trade and ignorantly saying "omg why didn't dumbass Idzik make this move in the offseason?"
OMG the Jets do not have any play makers SOFJ. OMG the Jets got a play maker but but but SOFJ. There really is no winning but whining about a play maker that was a huge reason the hawks won the SB is crazy. This guy is good injury prone but good. MM will use him to make plays period. At least this move makes the Jets bearable to watch now.
Great article on Grantland today about why this move is a no-brainer for the Jets: http://grantland.com/the-triangle/the-percy-harvin-saga-how-seattle-lost-and-the-jets-won/ Honestly, it's nothing that hasn't been said already, but maybe the people that somehow still don't understand why Idzik made this move will believe it if it's written by a professional journalist on a well-known website.
The adjective "substantive" leaves the door open to suggest that there may have been talks even before the NE game. He also wouldn't confirm or deny who called who first. Why keep that a secret?
Since when does ANY GM break down how a trade came about? Find me a few examples and then I'll start to question Idzik's handling of the questions. Also, there may have been talks before the NE game but plenty of reports said that the last straw for Seattle was how Harvin handled the Dallas game. I'd say it's more than likely Seattle ramped up efforts to get a trade done after that.
