Personally, I find it incredibly hilarious if anyone thinks we are beating the Bills, Titans or Dolphins! LOL!!!!!! Have you WATCHED these teams...certainly aren't the freakin' pooch screw that we've had the pleasure of watching week in and out. There is no split with with one of these two division teams this year...my money is on the Dolphins but the Bills defense is pretty good too....I don't know... I guess this is just me sitting here with no faith...I can't remember a time where we had so many team "riches" i.e. draft picks and money that we field a team this utterly shitty. John Idzik has no excuses... Oh, for those dumb asses that think Rex is going to be fired only to find a DC position somewhere...smoking pot...there are 3 or 4 teams right now that would CREAM to have this man run the helm.... Oh write it down...I can SEE Rex Ryan coaching the Raiders for years to come...and they HAVE a fantastic young QB in place.... Just an example...
If our team plays as well as it did vs. the Patriots (hopefully with a higher Red Zone TD %), we can definitely be competitive in all three of these games. In fact, if we play as well as we did vs. the Pats, we can be competitive in every game for the rest of the year.
Pffft....competitive...You know, like every Jets fan on the planet does, that the Jets get particularly "geeked" to play the Patriots...especially in Foxboro. Yeah, I don't expect the same level of intensity the rest of the way...to be honest, from this point forward, I only pray that the guys show up to play and do not give up or implode. The hilarity of it all is those teams we mentioned...they all are circling the Jets on the calendar as a "probably win." I know I would.
Of course they will; we're 1-6. But the Giants were 0-6 last year before eventually being 8-8. Our schedule gets a lot easier and our confidence will be much higher. I wouldn't discount this team with a Rex Ryan fighting for his job and a Geno Smith working with a reinvigorated WR corps.
Our schedule isn't an obvious 1-6 schedule. The bears suck; they lost to the bills and are going to lose to the fins. And Detroit is an average team not some powerhouse automatic loss. We are no different or better than any other 1-6 team in history -- bad.
so you support Rex Ryan and yet you still you acknowledge that the players got up for the Patriots game more than the others and that will continue? Isn't it the No.1 coach's job to at least make sure the guys show the same level of intensity every week?
Very different??? Patterson was a journeyman at best who couldn't stick anywhere. Now if the Jets still had Cro on the team, that would have helped. Still need another starting Qb, though.
Journeyman mostly because he had health problems...when he was on the field he had impact but had injury issues...turns out he also had head issues.
