This really looks like one of those deals GM's do when they think they're gonna get fired

This would make sense if he acquired Harvin before the season started, lol.

They have to get money to pay Russell Wilson and others and there's a connection with Idzik and Schenider and SEA knows the Jets are one of the very few teams with the money to take on a contract like that.

I think Seattle approached the Jets here, they know they have to take care of their young QB and this deal gives them flexibility.

    Wow a 2nd and 4th?

That is fucking bad. Fuck. Now if they pick high in round 1, no more Cooper? Ugh.

Fuckin' BINGO right here baby!!!!!! Harvin pissed off someone somewhere...of that you can BANK on. Throw on to the pile his injury history...yeah...this stinks to high heavens and I wouldn't have touched him with a 10 ft. pole... Not only is this fishy shit but it also smacks of serious desperation by Idzik.

Depending on what the conditional pick is, this sounds like a desperation move on the part of Idzik in attempt to keep his job. I would have much rather we would have used the cap space for Harvin to sign a CB last off-season. With a decent CB signing this team is likely 3-4 if not 4-3 and a playoff contender.

Edit: Wow a 2nd round pick which is likely a high 2nd round pick plus a big cap hit every year he is on the roster. We got robbed.

The post above is false, Clayton's sources have said that the pick RANGES from round two to four.

    Reading is fundemental, folks.

He signed that Mar of 2013 with Seattle.

If we gave up a 2nd and 4th, that's terrible. Seattle are the ones under the gun to try and get Wilson signed to a big deal down the road and have some other money at use, they are the ones who should be pressured to deal this contract to someone around the league. Idzik did not play this up well if we gave up a 2nd and 4th.
