Again, the 2nd timeout was called by the players because they got confused. How the hell is that on Rex?

This is my biggest gripe with the coaching staff, or any coaching staff. First half, do whatever you want with TOs. Second half rolls around, I don't care what the situation is, you conserve all 3 until the end of the game. Most of the time, it's a waste of a timeout because the play ends up sucking regardless. Give yourself a fighter's chance at the end by being able to stop the clock when you need to stop the clock, not because you called a shitty play or are about to get a delay of game.

Drives me nuts. Every week the same thing.

The Rex lunatics on this message board STILL don't get it. Rex is responsible for everything his players do. Every blown coverage. Every missed blocked. Every boneheaded decision. What Rex has to tell his team is that, in the second half, they aren't allowed to call timeout. Period. End of Sentence. (Maybe Geno can . . . maybe)

It seems every game the jets have these situations where they can't get the right players or right number of players on the field in time and are forced to burn a timeout. The head coach is responsible for his players being prepared. They should have these personnel subs down pat. You rarely see this happen with well coached teams.

Why don't you get this? The buck stops at the head coach.

Because football is situational. He puts the players on the field. They used 2 TO's early and needed them later. It may have cost them the game. If the players called TO, they realized they were in a bad situation on the field. Rex puts them out there, so he was clueless or outcoached, causing the need for the TO's. Either way, it's on him.

Maybe the players fucked up the playcall? Do they not have any responsibility???

Out coached? All things considered, this was a GREAT coaching Job by Rex on 4 days rest on the road vs a team who's strengths match up vs your weaknesses.

I can't argue with people blaming the coach for a blown coverage. Can't bother

No, it's reality. It's what the losers who blindly defend Rex after every close loss with a million coulda/woulda/shoulas just don't get.

The coach is responsible for every dumb mental mistake his players make. You're embarrassing yourself.

Their strenghts match up with our weaknesses???? What?

They have a weak O-line and Brady has been running for his life all season. Our D-line is our strength, correct? Certainly not our secondary. We had how many sacks? So what were our strenghts vs theirs prior to this game exactly, other than what we were not able to exploit.
Still, we owned the TOP clock, ran the ball down their throats and still lost.
    Does Rex take no responsibility??

Rex's plan worked in the first half Burr they adjusted in the second. There was really nothing Rex could do.

He's not a teacher, he's the head coach of the New York Jets. These are grown men and professional athletes. He gets paid millions to optimize their performance. He is absolutely responsible for their unforced errors and boneheaded decisions, particularly when they happen week after week after week.

    You are still embarrassing yourself.

I bet this timeout issue will cease to exist sometime around year 15 of the Ryan era.

Say what you want about the timeouts or what not, but the lack of discipline this team has, whether with the multiple offsides or 12 men on the field or holding calls are on Rex and his staff because that shows a matter of accountability not being applied and the penalties are one of the hidden killers of this game, that took points and clock off.

Until then, we can keep sucking his dick for coming up with good defensive game plans.

    Can't wait.
