Where the hell were you when the same bullshit was going on with Sanchez? And Sanchez never threw a tantrum - let alone, a curse word - at a fan. He's been a very good soldier the entire time he was with the Jets. And by the way, did he EVER miss a team meeting? Or did ANYONE in his work miss his team meeting while watching a fucking movie? That's not a "have what it takes" issue. That's a fucking ACCOUNTABILITY problem. I mean, by the time you have hit your 20's, and not learned that you shouldn't be cursing toward the very supporters for you in public, or that you shouldn't be missing your own team meeting, then you have some serious growing up to do.
Luckily Sanchez was a wast coast guy so he never missed meetings due to clock management or lack thereof
Zach, I do not know what this has to do with Sanchez. The fact that he was abused by the media and fans is disgraceful. Some of the slurs used to refer to him on this board have no place here or elsewhere. Maybe it's time to stop taking the success or failure of players personally. Football is hard. Mark and Geno as young players are like most. They may not be good enough. Save the abuse, it has no place here or anywhere.
Sanchez - as bad as he was, and as brutally battered as he was, he was a model professional in terms of behavior at least. Geno is failing EVEN AT THAT. That's not a 'has what it takes' issue. That's a simple accountability that we all expect out of EVERYBODY.
Let's see. Sanchez didn't play especially well but he was a gentleman. Geno is not playing well but he is not a gentleman. Therefore fans and media are justified in heaping abuse on him.
