Rex Ryan Is ‘Up for Suggestions’ on How to Fix Jets The Wall Street Journal By Stu Woo Oct. 8, 2014 9:05 p.m. ET Ryan said that if he didn’t fix his team soon, “I don’t think for a minute I’ll be here.” Well at least Rex isn't living in his fantasy land anymore. “I’m up for suggestions,” Ryan said Wednesday, when asked whether he had any drastic solutions... This statement clearly shows he is a doomed man and should tell the wife to start packing.
He is making it looking with all these lines the press is getting from him. It's becoming another laughing stock year
He was actually being flippant to the bimbo reporter that asked the question, she was stumbling over her words and sounded like an idiot. Rex obviously felt the need to one-up her.
Lol anyone who takes that as literal needs to re-evaluate their perception of reality. I'm sure he was serious about knowing he's long gone if he doesn't turn it around though.
There are a bunch of things that Rex can be blamed for this year. I'm on board with his firing for sure. Having said that, this is being said in jest. Childish thread IMO.
I remember away back in the day Joe Fields once suggested the Jets hire a consultant who understood how to operate a football team. Coach Walton did not appreciate that.
obviously rex is being a wise ass but I do have a suggestion for him. After you get fired from the Jets take a real honest look and self evaluate what you did as a head coach for the jets. don't look at this through the eyes of a defensive coordinator. try to see the entire picture of the jets teams you coached and really understand why you failed. after you've identified your shortcomings as a head coach make an effort to genuinely learn those areas of the game and try to become as well versed in those things as you are at calling defenses. the next opportunity you get as a head coach will probably be your last so make it count.
I think what he's trying to do is get the fan's sympathy. And his real message despite what he says is:" It's not my fault."
It not his fault. We have no WR's or CB's plus most people on here think Geno needs to go. All that on Idzik.
Look nobody's done a good job with this team but what you say just isn't true. This no receivers or Cbs mantra is a crock of shit. And he's gotten all of the players he's asked for on defense for six years. He got his way in every draft: 2 GMs.
