I can't remember the year, but they got smacked by the Bills and another team and people were questioning them. Then there was 2008. At least they missed the playoffs.
Impossible to say what Sunday nights game meant on the outlook of our season, but I don't think anyone had questions about who would win after the first drive. I can't recall an angrier opening drive in all my time watching football. New England showed fire, executed flawlessly (including a 4th down they never should have had to go for it on, they played both the refs and the Bengals that night), and Cinci looked lifeless and lost. The team could still not be great, or they could be great, but Sunday showed that they simply can't be counted out of any game. It just depends which team shows up, that's a conversation most people aren't used to having. It's concerning, but it means that the season won't be over until it's actually over for them, whether that means December and no playoffs, January knocked out of the playoffs, or a trip in February, it's going to be one of those teams, but the only way they make it to February is by showing they can consistently perform like they did Sunday, which they haven't come close to doing in this still young season.
I think that was 2011. They started off 5-3, losing to the Bills, Steelers, and Giants. The next game was against the Jets and that was one of those "this is the turning point in the AFC East" games. Kind of a similar situation in 2012, they lost two of their first three (to the Cardinals and Ravens) but only lost two more the rest of the way. They've had some slow starts, which makes this year look a little more normal than it did a couple of weeks ago.
My solace is that Tom Brady takes so many gay looking pics that he can't possibly be straight, which means he is a beard for the most popular and richest model in the world. Wait, does that qualify as solace?
Ha... I say it's the money. Tom's income in that household is like a stay-at-home mom giving piano lessons and pulling in an extra $60/week.
You do know that Giselle makes Tom spend all of the money from his own account, right? All of it comes from him. Not a cent from her. Sure sounds like an arrangement.
Rumor has it his two kids with her look like Hoyer and Mallett respectively. Right after the draft Giselle told Tom it was time to have another. Coincidence?
consistency is the determining factor if a team is good or not. if you consistently have winning streaks and playing well you are a good team. if you win-lose-win-lose, you likely aren't a good team even if you play extremely well in the wins because you are playing inconsistently. so far this season the Pats aren't showing to be a good team. they are too inconsistent even though they played well last game and against Minnesota. the other games they have not looked so good.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2007_New_York_Giants_season Also, the Patriots are consistently a second half team. Also, this: http://espn.go.com/blog/boston/new-...ong?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter
I knew that would come after me posting about the Giants It's not every year that a team dominates tape to tape like the Seahawks did last season.
