The charger's O-line is trash, their run game is softer than a tampon, they can't stop the run. They are decent against the pass and have a good passing offense, but they have less weapons that we have been facing the last few weeks. Keenan Allen is going to be handled by Miliner if he comes back in Dec '13 form, which he will. Antonio Gates can not beat bracket coverage anymore. Their other receivers are JAGS, product of Rivers. Expect another 4 sacks, a solid defensive game plan and big running day. Stop being insecure little b*tches and show some optimism. We're gonna win on Sunday..
I would love 2 agree but there is something they do very well and that is pass the football and one thing we do really shitty and that's defend the pass. You see where I'm going with this.
We're above average defending the pass (#10 so far) after going against 3 elite passing teams and we'll have our #1 CB back. With our pass rush and ability to dominate the trenches we have more than a shot.
yeah I agree we can win... for having supposedly the worst secondary in the NFL, being 10th overall is pretty amazing considering we went against 3 top 10 (closer to top 5) passing attacks. based on the circumstances of our schedule, and how terrible we were supposed to be, we should be 32nd overall. besides geno is going to have a redemption game and throw 3TDs (or 2 and 1 rsh TD) and rush for 50 yards!!! Chargers fans must be shitting their pant. The Jets have beaten teams over the past few years that they looked like they shouldn't have, but we will have Kerley and Salas playing most of the snaps on the outside and our offensive blocking has been average at best and many times far below average, and we have a second year QB getting the Sanchez treatment in terms of game plan simplification. And his inability to pass out of under center formations always ends up limiting the running game in the second half or earlier. And if the trend continues, those 4 sacks will happen in the first half and then our pass rush will disappear afterwards when the Dline gets gassed from being on the field far more than they should be.

Obviously i'll be rooting for it to happen and obviously anything can happen, but I just don't see it. Rivers is just so good at throwing the football, and reading/picking apart defenses. Their offensive strength plays right into our defensive weakness. Then you have to throw in the fact that we have a huge issue turning the football over. That's a recipe for disaster on the road against a top QB like Rivers. If we can get to Rivers with our pass rush and run the football well we got a chance. But I feel like we've been saying that every week and we're 1-3. This is going to be a very tough game for us to win. Gotta hope Rivers makes some mistakes that we can capitalize on.
I'm just glad we didn't swing a trade for Phillip Rivers in 2012. what a mistake that would have been.
If the Jets are going to win this game they are going to have to grab their nuts and win it on their own.
