Harbaugh is just as emotional as Rex; we might want to consider heading the opposite direction of the personality spectrum.
Forget the personality stuff. If you're a high level coach all that crap can be dealt with. Lots of the best coaches have the strongest personalities. Harbaugh is one of the best coaches in the league. Top 5 for sure. If the Jets pass on him for an average HC in Rex than they'll never get it.
When did I say Rex can do no wrong? I said it's not his fault Geno is making mistakes out there on the field. It's not all Rex's fault. Explain how it is? By saying it's all Rex's fault means your blaming him for the performance the 53 guys who actually play the game are giving out each week. Our GM (maybe wisely maybe not, probably somewhere in between) is rolling over a lot of money into next year. He didnt give Rex everything he could have given him to make it work. I'm not saying thats a bad idea but you have to be realistic when you see the talent out there. It's not Rex's fault Dee Milliner can't stay healthy, Patterson went AWOL, McDougle tore his ACL, and that we have no corners to speak of. It's not Rex's fault that Geno is turning the ball over. Rex's responsibility comes in seeing these issues and doing the best he can to fix them. He needs to pull Geno. If he doesn't and Geno continues to slide, it's on him. But not everything is on him.
Since we love forking over starts, let's hand another 32 over to Simms after this year "to see what we have".
I think with all the offensive problems of the past decade we need to go with an offensive minded head coach for once as we haven't really had one in the past 15 years. That's not to say Rex should be fired right away this week but if we look elsewhere for a coach after the season it needs to be someone who can coach offense and let the 7 first rounders on defense go make plays for themself.
Another defensive head coach. That will solve the 20 years of offensive issues we have had. Rich Fucking Kotite was the last offensive HC this team had. Boggles the mind.
Hey I hear you. Ive just heard his name with regard to his Seattle connection and Idzik. And there is nothing that Idzik has shown yet that leads me to believe that he will show the type of innovation necessary to go outside of his comfort zone
If Rex was to go, I would go full in for J Grudden. Other wise I'm good with Rex a little longer, I just don't think Idzik will put up with Rex not having the balls to hurt Geno's feelings.
I doubt Hardbaugh is out, but if he is, I agree with throwing money at him. He can teach a QB how to play and knows what to look for when drafting one.
This team is lost. We're in for a disastrous season. Just face the facts now so you won't be further disappointed.
