That Pats play in Arrowhead Stadium Monday night. If they lose the Jets are 1 game out. It's too early to predict where things will wind up at this point. I wouldn't be at all surprised if 10-6 won the AFC East this year and the team that will do that is the team that is hot down the stretch.
the 2001 patriots found tom brady on the roster. the 2002 jets found chad Pennington on the roster. Rex says were sticking with Geno fucking Smith.
That's what we all get for cheering the Bledsoe injury. The Karma has rebounded on us for 13 years now. Maybe 13 years is the magic number?
I have never cheered for an injury in my life . . . I didn't sign up for 13 years of bad karma!!!! LOL. And regardless, we've had way more than 13 years of bad karma
you're really grasping today. magic numbers? really? it's over. 2014 is a wash and Rex is gone. geno is probably an afterthought to whoever replaces Rex.
we could be tied for first...as long as geno is the QB of this team we are going nowhere. and I have no problem saying it on record.
Geno, like Sanchez, has the physical abilities to be an excellent NFL QB. Geno, also like Sanchez, just doesn't get it...I'm uncertain either has the mental acuity or ability to process information at the level of a successful NFL QB on the field. Yeah, I know, they both work (or worked) SO HARD off the field...studied film, hit the gym...blah, blah, blah...it don't matter. It's not a knock on either of them...I am certain they worked hard at the job. I just think they were NOT capable of being successful in the first place. Perhaps they weren't coached up properly, I don't know. Maybe neither had the tools to succeed...but to me, it ain't the simple observation that they are making 'mistakes', it's the observation that the mistakes they made (or continue to make) are inexcusable and neither seem to be able to change their propensity to repeat them. At this point,at 1-3, switching to Vick is a no-brainer...if you catch lightning in a bottle, great. If not, then after Vick stinks up the joint the next 3 games you put Geno back in for a chance at redemption and for a final evaluation before next years draft. I never bought the 'lose the locker room' nonsense, especially for a 2nd yr QB who is struggling with a former pro-bowl QB on the bench. The team would understand, and if Geno is so fragile that sitting at this point ruins his confidence, he wasn't going to amount to much anyway. This team could be .500 or much better pretty easily with adequate QB play...I'm not ready to pitch this season yet. But trotting Geno out there to make the same mistakes week after week is just asinine.
Agreed. It's so infuriating. That's why I really think the best thing for him right now is to let him sit and watch.
He shouldve never started over Vick in the first place. I knew this would happen. He sucks. I told you guys this before the season.
Geno was not good yesterday. But I felt that some of his "badness" was team "badness". And Geno is not capable of lifting a team on his back. I am not sure he ever will be. I don't think I ever expected him to be that. Yesterday was an example of a mediocre offense not even being mediocre and a better than mediocre defense being mediocre. I also think MM had a bad day. I do not get his play calling. He takes the ball out of Geno's hands for the first 10 minutes. We run it great. Next time out he flashes the gimmick plays. By the time Geno starts throwing the ball he is 10 minutes in and cold. Like let week: first play of the game is a screen. That is like throwing a change up first pitch. You need timing, rhythm. You have to be sweating a little already by the time you call a screen. OCs should always try to balance the offense, not just be deceptive.
