oh here we go. how about we produce an offense that doesn't ask our defense to win us every single game by putting them in short fields CONSTANTLY. how about we produce a QB worth a damn. How about we ask our offense to win us a game once in a while and stop expecting our defense to be the 85 bears week in and week out. THIS IS ON THE QB NOT THE DEFENSE, TIGHT END, WR, OFFENSIVE LINE.
yes I did watch the game today...and I saw him commit multiple garbage turnovers, as well as play scared on the last drive and dump to ivory on third down where if he waited a tick and went through his reads would have found decker for 20 yards...same story every single week.
Give me a fuckin break. The O went 3 an out 5 times in a row and you're knocking the D? This is the same pattern we've seen since 2011 - defense starts off strong, offense continually fails to stay on the field and then D eventually wears down and gives up big plays. Over and over and over....
Geno is the best QB on the roster hands down. I love how people on this board forget Vick was a turnover machine when he played in Philly 2012 - 10 Ints 11 Fumbles in 10 games 2011 - 14 Ints 10 Fumbles in 13 games No thanks Jeff.
I don't get why we even went with Geno. Why not go with the veteran who has seen it all? It's much easier to go from Vick(when he gets injured) to Geno, then to Geno to 34 year old Vick. Pathetic. Rex Ryan is stubborn.
He went for the instant conversion rather than take a chance on Decker, that's on Ivory to catch the damn ball and run for 2-3 yards to move the sticks. We had timeouts and the clock again, we were in no real hurry to start to take a shot like that.
I think there is upside but the guy has got to sit his ass on the bench for a while. The problem is we have Vick back there who is almost as bad with the turnovers and is injury prone, we put him in and we are back in the same boat.
It's ok Baker, I'll make sure to remind the board weekly that you actually loved this guaranteed bust Geno Smith. I swear some fans don't know what a good ball player is at all.
We are a bad team on offense...not much else to say...also lack of cbs and we may end up drafting mariota
I do not agree with you assessment of Sanchez. It was very much the same as it is with Geno, except we took talent away from Sanchez. When he had talent we went to B2B AFCCG. With Geno at this point I don't think we will win 6 games
The Geno homers will crucify you, its clearly not Geno's fault just doesn't have the weapons......oh an the OC doesn't play to his strengths whatever that is
The jets went 8-8 last year with Geno, ivory, Schillens, Gates, Nelson, and some TE who I can't even remember other than Cumberland , all I heard was about the job that Rex did and about Genos improvement. This year the schedule is a bit tougher, but the jets have Decker, Kerley, Nelson, Amaro, a supposedly improved Geno, a healthy Ivory and CJ. They have a better offense, no matter how you put it, and you want to blame this on Idzik? All of these games have been winnable, it's not like they are getting blown out, these games have been lost due to bad play calling, bad coaching from Rex, and horrendous turnovers from Geno. Geno was a second round pick that many teams were happy to pass on, I would give him one more game with a short leash. He does not deserve another season, like if he were a top ten pick.
