My Bills fans I know are way more pessimistic than SOJ fans or darksiders. I was at a party this Saturday and asked my boy, who is a Bills fans, if he was excited about being 2-0. He said not really because it just means they will win just 4 more games for the rest of the season.
They must remember the 2011 season when they went 4-1 to start the year only to finish, 6-10 and be last in the AFC East. Bill fans were hyped that year!
Not the ones I know. Even then they were waiting for the other shoe to drop. They make me feel better about myself…LOL.
True, however you can't give the OC too much credit or blame. The offense has been able to move the ball so for the most part the execution is there. They need to work on their red zone offense I'm sure Geno will improve over time in the red zone. Young QB's struggle there.
Our biggest issue is scoring points. I believe you can score a lot of points without having to be very efficient in the RZ if you have talented skilled position players. You unknowingly proved that point by bring up the 2010 Eagles. To be efficient in the redzone you need a QB that get you out of plays that are bound to fail based on the pre-snap look the defense gives you and/or a big target. We definitely don't have the former. The latter, we may have, once Decker is healthy.
Kurt, I would agree with you except for one thing, we've heard the same thing now for the last 6 years. It won't be long before someone says Manning sucked his first 3 years... I don't expect the kid to do everything well or win the SB, he's just not at that level, but it should be expected that he doesn't make the same stupid mistakes over and over again. The Sanchez era is still fresh in everyone's mind, we're seeing and hearing more of the same.
I think the Bills are every bit as good as the Jets. QBs are equally inept...their running game is just as good...they're as good maybe better at TE.....their defensive line gets pressure.....their Secondary is probably better.......their Special teams is way better.....
Well, the thing about turnovers is that they ruin games more than yardage helps. The two key stats are turnovers and yards per pass attempt.
It's much harder to execute in the RZ because there is less field to work with. That's why talent and/or sheer physical dominance (e.g., jump balls to big WRs) becomes more prudent. W/o Decker on the field we just don't have anybody else on the outside that can win in such a confined space when opposing defenses load up the box. Having a QB comfortable enough get you out of a bad play also helps a lot in the RZ.
Lack of ball security, and taking points off the board are the 2 things that have led to their record. Also, the Jets absolutely HAVE to get better in the RZ. The reality is with a better than average defense, Geno shouldn't be forcing anything. Folk has been outstanding, lucky to have him...
Not even close to what I said, but it's true that QB mistakes have been the primary factor in the losses. Geno needs to do a better job avoiding those drive killing mistakes. Anybody denying this very basic fact is delusional. Productivity right now is higher than it has been in quite a while. It's just that red zone efficiency has been killing us. The Jets are not far off in the least. Clean up the mistakes and we'll be fine.
Demoting Cumberland for Amaro would be a nice start. I thought Cumberland would be average, but he's below average maybe worse. loljk Cumberland is, was, and will always be trash IMO.
Fuck you for bringing that up. As if I wasn't having a bad enough day already, and then you had to dredge that shit up and toss it in my sorrow salad. *pulls out gun, shoots self*
