The sad thing is Milliner is not an impact player at all. He isn't Revis or Cromartie even though Rex tells us he is. The Jets secondary is not too different with Milliner in or out of the line up. He was on the right track at the end of last year, but high ankle sprains and quad injury makes him average at best at the moment.

I'd like to see what Revis would have looked like with a high ankle sprain and a quad injury.

One of the five is Wilson, who plays nickel, not outside. For obvious reasons. He doesn't count.

    Lankster? Heh.

He had five surgeries and was hurt when the Jets drafted him. He missed a big chunk of training camp, and then did that again this year.

I thought Milliner showed some special abilities at the CB position the last 5-6 games of the season. If he can stay healthy I think he'll be a very good CB for us.

He had 5 surgeries but only missed 1 game in 3 FULL years. Not playing against any slouches in the SEC. And made plenty of tackles with the same shoulder. He got surgery once he finished the bowl game/his college career. That's why he missed sometime in training camp but like I said before. Dee Milliner as a Jet is a different story. CLEARLY smh

Lanksters a better option then a hurt Milliner who took himself out of the game because of ankle tightness

Milliner didn't play well, but he wasn't that bad. I would of preferred to give him another week of rest, and get him back when he is fully healthy.

I rather a healthy Milliner this week, then a semi healthy Milliner last week. Now, look at the position we are in

What's concerning is that Detroit's secondary is as decimated as ours. They were just working out Dimitri Patterson a week or so ago. Yet, they kept Rodgers to 162 yards and 7 points. So what does that say about our secondary?

I'm told that Rex Ryan is the best defensive coach in the game so we should have nothing to worry about.

Agreed, but it doesn't matter at this moment, is what I am saying. He isn't healthy. Him or Darrin Walls vs. a WR is not a big difference at the moment. Hope he gets healthy soon though.

would it really suprise you if he went on day 3 or went undrafted? he really doesnt do anything well, and is solid across the board. he was really the benefit of his surroundings in alabama. and even there i though he got turned around way too often

Without Decker or Millner I dont see how the hell the jets win this game unless Ivory plans on rushing for 150 yards

90% of the people paid to talk football were surprised he made it to 9.

Everyone would have been surprised if he fell to the second, let alone the 7th. Stop being a clown.

This is one of the most ignorant and stupid posts ive ever read here. Milliner was projected to go top 5 across most boards. You really think he would have went undrafted if the Jets didnt select him. No one can be this stupid.

Not for anything, but when you look back at the 2013 NFL Draft, - no one in the top 12 is lighting it up (with the exception of # 13, our own Sheldon Richardson = Thank God). I still wish we had taken Chance Warmack who went next to Tennessee after Milliner.

EDIT: --- actually Ansah did pretty well as a rookie for Detroit - he had 8 sacks last year.

Milliner is top 10 talent for sure. My 3 concerns with with him were: 1. injuries, 2. not being the best fit for our current system, at least early on, and 3. the unnecessary pressure he would get in this market for having to replace Revis. I was wrong about 3, there really hasn't been a lot of media pressure on him. However, 1 and 2 seem to have come to fruition.

Don't forget Calvin Pace's assessment of our Defense's overall ranking. Itsa shame that the best CB in the NFL will miss the game tonite..
