What the fuck? How can you wrongfully appropriate a quote? A post on a board automatically becomes public domain, the author has no rights to it. You can't wrongfully appropriate something that was public. Or do you mean like taking someone's quote and saying you were the author? How about you demonstrate it, maybe it'll help me understand. A JetsInsider shutting down thread is now about the misunderstanding of "wrongful appropriation" of words typed into an internet forum by a guy that's been blatantly trolling this forum for years. Hmmm. I don't think this is about the people he claims to have on ignore.
If you quote someone, you HAVE TO credit them for the quote. On multiple occasions these trolls have word for word copied something I had said in the past, but did not give me credit for it. I am the author of every single one of my posts, I am the individual writing it, I own it, they cannot copy it word for word and not give me credit for it, its called plagiarism where I come from.

An illegal quote is when you take someone's stupid quote, change some of the words and make it funny. I think it should be legalized really.

People on internet forums own what they post. For example; If someone posts a serious threat (which has happened on the internet messageboards many times), they arent going after the owner of the forum, they are going after the person who posted the message, because they said it, they own it. So every post I make on a forum, I own, I have responsibility over it. Petrozzas not our legal guardian on what we post.
