10 and 6 and a playoff spot. Much improved offense with Chris Johnson being the best pick-up of the off-season. Defense good against the run. More zone and less blitzing to compensate for inexperience at DB. Coaches adjust to their personal and Rex is no different. The idea that he has to leave his CBs' on an island is silly. More zone also means more interceptions. This is an offensive league and improvement on that side of the ball is the most interesting development in the off season. I really think that Idzik is telling Rex not to sell out so much on defense. Ball control and points are the best defense.
9-7. I still see weakness in our defensive secondary and WRs. I think Geno will play better, but will make mistakes that cost us a few games.
It is really hard to say. It really comes down to Geno. If he plays great, they can be 12-4. If he plays terrible, they can be 4-12. In between is most likely, at 8-8.
I agree with everything you said, but I see the Jets going 7-9. This team has no quality depth in key position. Any major injury to its stars and the season will go downhill FAST!!!
Yeah, a tipped ball here, a missed FG there, and we could be 7-9. Keep in mind that we were pretty decimated by injuries last year. My hope is that our D can and will generate a lot more TOs than last year, when we were historically bad in that department. Hopefully that, and a better Geno will translate into a better record.
Vs Raiders win At Packers loss Vs Bears loss Vs Lions win At Chargers win Vs Broncos win At Patriots loss Vs Bills win At Chiefs loss Vs Steelers loss Bye week At Bills win Vs Dolphins win At Vikings win At Titans win Vs Patriots loss At Dolphins win 10-6 GB/DEN could be switched. (same for CHI/DET, KC/SD)
Vs Raiders win At Packers loss Vs Bears loss Vs Lions loss At Chargers loss Vs Broncos loss At Patriots loss Vs Bills win At Chiefs win Vs Steelers loss Bye week At Bills loss Vs Dolphins loss At Vikings win At Titans win Vs Patriots loss At Dolphins loss 5-11
5-11 I would love to say 9-7 but considering the schedule, our secondary and OL that is far to optimistic. Sadly 5-11 seems realistic even though we we will be a better team than last year just with a worse record. But then again we have constantly over performed under Rex. Hopefully it will be a better season.
After today's performance, I can definitely see a repeat of 8-8. Not because of their talent level, but because of their schedule although there are certainly winnable games against teams that were better than us last year.
At least 1 and 0 with a few more to go. Amazing how the Pats gave up 30 pts. with Revis in the backfield. Gary Myers must be really upset.
