Did you guys see the article on the sidebar about Snacks working this offseason to improve his pass rushing? I was pretty impressed by that. According to the coaches, he s much better this year at disengaging offensive linemen and closing down on the QB. To me, his and Richardson's development in this area is really key. We know those 2 guys are elite in stopping the run, but if they can both improve in pass rushing, our front 3 will just become a nightmare for opposing teams. I am not expecting that much out of Snacks, but if he could get 3-4 sacks and maybe 20 pressures, and if Richardson could elevate his sacks from 3.5 to maybe 7 in his 2nd year, it would just be a whole other story. This would really free up guys like Coples, Pace and Babin because of all the attention offenses would have to give to the D-Line.

I think the name's here to stay. The media has already picked it up, so I don't think a vote on a forum will have any impact.

If Coples and Babin can get the QB to step up its hopefully into the grasp of Snacks, D.Roy, or Mo. Conversely, if the inside 3 force the QB out of the pocket its into the arms of Coples and Babin.

I find sacks to be more of a luxury for defensive linemen. If the three headed beast can constantly generate pressure and stop the run, then everything else will fall into place.

The players themselves have adopted it. You going to let them vote too?

Rex says pressure up the middle is the most deadly. It prevents QBs from stepping up to avoid the outside pass rush and clogs throwing lanes.

That's why we do well against the Pats. We seem to find a way to generate that rush up the middle on Brady which totally gets him rattled.

I've never heard anyone in the media use this term before,I only hear it on here,This is why the Jets are never successful there always celebrating being mediocre .We didn't lead the league in sacks far from it,they should be given a name when they deserve it like the Sack Exchange.

It's amazing how you can spin something as fun and encouraging as a nickname into a negative.

I can only imagine what you think of Brian "The White Mamba" Scalabrine.

Sounds like they agree with you, although they don't sound as douchey saying it.

The name sucks. The show sucks. Sounds like some middle school fantasy by a kid who never leaves his house.

i refuse to use the SOA moniker. No one calls them that, except for a few on here. No need to say more from me, it sounds stupid. It's a fkn' tv show and references nothing of the city, the region or the team.
